These really are the classics by Jethro Tull. I really miss Martin Baree and Ian Anderson not making music together anymore. They simply belong together like the lid belongs to the pot. I love Martin Barre's guitar playing. I'm proud that I've seen Jethrot Tull live four times in Germany. Greetings from Germany

I had almost forgotten what a superb acoustic guitar player Martin is. He is one of a handful of players who can switch between electric and acoustic and sound masterful whatever the genre of music he is playing.

so many songs by Ian and all his different band members.. through the years .. aqualung.. thick as a brick.. I have been playing ' a Christmas song' every year on Christmas day for at least the last 45 years , (or more ) and continue to do so.. the influence is that strong..

I'm going to see Martin's band in August. I don't know whether he'll be doing any acoustic numbers, but after listening to this I really hope so. The young ladies did an amazing job, especially on One White Duck. A reminder as well of what a great songwriter Ian is.

He did do the acoustic numbers, and he did have the young ladies. One of the highlights of a terrific set that Martin clearly enjoyed - Clive Bunker and Dee Palmer played with him too - a treat!

This is awesome ! Martin Barre is the evolution of Jethro Tull. It is sad that Ian lost his voice. He could have gotten a new singer and Tull could have gone on to be even greater. But I guess they wanted to to go their separate ways. I think that what Martin is doing is really the next step of Jethro Tull. They have the potential to be as great as Tull ever was.

As much as like Martin , Ian Anderson was the real Tull and as I have followed the years I have to say the best lineup was late sixties early seventies,on Stand up and Benefit albums

I like the way that Martin barre is doing the tull thing his own way, and I think that he has the right to considering the input and dedication that he had throughout tulls career, please continue Martin , who knows he might be employing the flute player from Jethro tulll at some point.

@@johnroberts3723, Thank you John, you’re right, Ian wrote the songs and came up with the chord progressions and most times the main riff. Martin Barre was a main part of Tull but Ian was Jethro Tull. Martin could use a flute player to fill out his sound.

The mandolin really fooled me. I thought for sure he was going to do Fat Man. Can't say I've ever heard Locomotive Breath with a washboard and a mandolin. And I must say it's refreshing to hear the songs sung in key for a change.

Can someone please tell me the lead female singer's name? Wow if she isnt ..... astounding!!!!! I would listen to her sing a phone book!!! She does Tull a beautiful homage. She deserves a contract. Ian should pull her in on those notes he cant quite do anymore.... she's a perfect singer for these songs!!! Barre chose well!!! And he is PERFECTION. The only time this old radio dj beomces an audiophile is...Tull.

@@nedgentz5740 In 2008 the guitarist was surely Martin. But nowadays is not: Florian Opahle replaced him with disastrous results. Oh, "Jethro Tull" was NOT Jethro Tull just a few years ago: they disbanded more than 10 years ago (JT's name belonged to Ian and Martin fifty Fifty). Recently something has changed and Ian called JT his backing group. But the REAL Jethro Tull is so far away...

I love the way he is...quiet, humble & ABOVE IT ALL.....a good musician...I saw him performing here in São Paulo twice....in Jethro Tull's concert.I don't care if he is "Underrated"....4 me he is not...that's all that matters...He probably doesn't give a single fucking barrel,full of Pig Shit 4 it...and so I do ....a big Hurray to Martin "Lancelot" Barre.
