Best comment he ever made. ..."I'll finish second before I'll wreck someone for first" CLASS

Mark the kid Martin, one of the most talented cup drivers to have never won a cup championship. Plus nobody ever mentions this, Mark was probably the cleanest driver in NASCAR history! He never wrecked anyone intentionally, but then again some would say that's why he never one a championship. I'm happy he's in the HOF.

I used to drive a truck for his dad,julian, and he was a great person too

Even when he accidentally wrecked Carl Edwards in a Xfinity race carl himself said he wanted to be mad be he knew Mark's a clean driver and knew it was a racing deal. Plus how Mark handled it with a subdue celebration untill he apologized to brad and carl. He might not won a physical championship but to be respected by your fellow drivers crew members and team owners sometimes maybe that's the true definition of a champion
@michaelsorber78592 жыл бұрын
Also sometimes being respected by your competitors is the better championship then a trophy

Mark is a champion. He won it in 1990. However, the same old NASCAR fuckery decided not to have him crowned champ on paper for that bullshit 2.5" carburetor rule, which everyone broke anyway. The points NASCAR took from him determined that season, but everyone knew he was the real champ.

You may have never taken a cup home but in my heart along with countless other fans you will always be a champion ... You have shown nothing but true class ... Your driving skills were just phenomenal ... It warms my heart that you are where you need to be now ... And that is with the Legends ... Thanks for all the years of watching you race ... I've missed you being on the tracks ... My hats off to you on a job well done ...

The greatest driver ever. As a fan, I've been lucky enough to meet Dale Earnhardt, Richard Petty, Jeff Burton, Chad Little, Joe Nemechek, and others......but as a guy who raced in local stockcar divisions, I always looked to Mark Martin for answers to racing. His style of racing, the command of the car, and the integrity of the sport....he is a true champion.
@ronmyers23174 жыл бұрын
My most favorite driver of all time. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Or to a more class Act. I followed Mark so closely in the 90s when NASCAR was great. He was my man every Sunday. Sad that he never won Daytona or a championship but one of the best guys to ever strap into a stock car. Nobody more deserving. Congratulations mark.

Pretty much every year in the 1990's there were moments in the year where Mark could have been Winston Cup champion had fate gone the other way. He might not have won a championship officially, but he was in contention many times. Definitely 1990 and 1997 were the two obvious ones.

I’ve been a race fan of every discipline my entire life. There are and have been many drivers that I liked to see win and a couple over the years that I didn’t want to see win. Mark Martin is the only driver that I ever really pulled for. I have manufacturer, constructor, event and sanctioning body merchandise out the wazoo but the ONLY drivers merchandise I ever bought was Mark Martin merchandise.

As a diehard drag racing fan and member of a world championship drag racing family I want to thank Mr Martin for what he done for us in North Carolina years ago when all 4 trailer tires failed us at once on a old cup car hauler we had just purchased to bring here to the west coast. The only person to stop on the highway we were stranded on was mark. He took us into the next town and took us to get 4 new tires mounted and then paid for them to our astonishment even after we explained we could pay for them ourselves. He then took us back and helped change them out. He is class as class can get and deserved this induction....congrats Mark u are a champion above a cup champion.
