One of my favourite songs off Ultra. The Love Thieves is a very underrated song. Have always loved it.

Nothing like watching one of my idols singing one out of the endless catalog of masterpieces he's created over the decades. Martin Gore is a musical God

🖤 That smile (after 1:27) when realizing the guitar issue? Priceless! 🖤 Tallented, Insightful, Deep, Soulful, Legend, Humble,...difficult to find one word to describe this beautiful man we all love 🖤

such an amazing song from an amazing album. It's baffling that DM never played it live, not even once

It's a great song but i don't think it would work well in an arena setting

Come on 😊🙏. Martin has put down volume of his guitar by mistake. What a genious moment. What a genius song. Historic.

Ultra is an underrated masterpiece, which everyone forgets about while praising Violator and SOFAD Love Thieves, Freestate, Insight - these songs are amazing, it's a shame they are almost always absent from DM live shows :( This Martin's solo rendition is great Though I'd always prefer songs that are sung by Dave on the record to be sung by Dave at DM live shows
@jakubpetricek7 жыл бұрын
I agree with you on The Love Thieves and Insight (fucking gems). Don´t like Freestate so much. I wished they had included Only When I lose Myself and Surrender on Ultra. Then it would have been even better an album. Those songs were recorded during Ultra recording sessions however they decided to use them to promote The Singles compilation.
@alankey1276 жыл бұрын
No. OWILM, Surrender and Headstar were recorded in different sessions in early 1998. When they were recording Ultra, these probably didn't exist even as a demo.
@Telekon155 жыл бұрын
Dave's current live voice isn't suited to the softer material like several songs on Ultra. Martin does a good job of this one and it would be good to see in the DM set someday.
