I specifically watched the video to hear the ovangkol martin and he barely played it. Maury is the only one in the entire freakin internet with some decent reviews on the ovangkol Martins but he only does the dread and OMC he hasnt done a video on the GPC which is what Im most interested in.

I agree if I finger pick will play Taylor if I want to strum and finger pick Gibson Martin does all like Gibson it doesn't matter what you play on a good guitar it doesn't matter

The Taylor doesn’t sound so good here but I own that one and it’s tonally perfect in person, not too tinny sounding like it sounds here.

I feel like on Taylor’s when they are plugged in all you ca hear are the G B E strings. I have a 314ce and a 914ce. Both are the same as this one. No low end. Then I have a Gibson J-185 that sounds so great and balanced. Same as with my Gibson Hummingbird. But the best acoustic I’ve ever owned and played is my Martin 000-28 Modern Deluxe. Can’t say one bad thing about it. Basically the Taylor’s stay in the case, and the Gibsons and Martin see the stage. P.S. be careful when buying Taylor’s. My 914ce fell apart 4 times and they finally sent a new one. Binding always falls off

I own Martin guitars and Taylor guitars I prefer the Taylor's lot more than the martins,I like Martin's ok but I absolutely love The Taylor guitars.

@@cryptopnoy9115 My Taylor guitars 2015,614ce, 2015,816ce,2015,914ce 2019 814ce DLX V brace,2019K-24ce,2019 614ce Builders edition V brace,Baby Taylor,1980 MartinD-28 in mint condition with original case and key,And Epiphone Dove.I sold my MartinD-35s I had three of those, Also sold my Martin D-45,And had four other D-28S sold all but my 1980 D-28,I kept the only Martin guitar I actually love but it's my Taylors I love the most.I sold my D-45 and bought the 914 ce and made the right choice the Taylor sounded better and played a whole lot more easier.But my Martin D-28 1980 will be with me till Im gone from this earth same with an my Taylors.Im very picky about my guitars and I only buy one if I fall in love with it.I buy Epiphone because I take them on campfires and outdoors,My Martin guitar and my Taylors stay in a controlled humidity control.

Sooo. . . He never once picked up the brand new Martin Ovangkol!!! I watched the video to see/hear that guitar; it looks pretty sitting on the stand though.
