Notice his mention of the condition of sincerity. If the experience of conversing with another is not based upon sincerity, then there cannot be a basis of truth phenomenologically. Present society is based upon the mass dissemination of untruths to such an extent that a rampant narcissism pervades and reproduces insincerity. Communication becomes a vector of contamination.

Good work Dr. Sadler. I find your explications the firm grounding in the case of Martin Heidegger. A lecture series for, "on being and time", this esteemed philosophical work, is very welcome indeed.

Hi. Thank you sir for all your videos. I'm taking Philosophy course and really its not easy course especially now that we used to attend class online, unlike face-to-face class which is easier for me. But I found your videos very helpful. Thank you I really appreciate.

I love your videos, and they help very much when I am studying for my philosophy class. We recently did Parmenides and have started on logos. That being said, we are studying logos and psyche along with heraclitus. I think it would be interesting to do some videos on Heraclitus if you ever did decide to do so!

Thanks Gregory. It sounds like Heidegger (in his own way) is talking about bringing what Jung would call "the shadow self," or the unconscious, into our awareness so we can be in a more integrated, connected state of being with ourselves and the world. Would you agree?

I would avoid reading Heidegger through Jung

Are you saying that because Hiedegger is making a metaphysical claim, whereas Jung is limiting it to human psychology? Because it does seem like there is some overlap on an abstract level.

Nope. It's way simpler than that. Get the Heidegger down solidly before bringing someone else in to try to reinterpret him in light of that person.

Just realized that you look and sound a lot like The Dude (from The Big Lebowski), only whenever he says that "that's just like, your opinion, man," you dive deep. Anyway, that was supposed to be a compliment. Also, thank you for your videos. Your insight has been very helpful over many semesters.

Thanks for this series, I watch your videos for an essay I am currently writing on the meaning of being to Emmanuel Levinas. Are you perhaps thinking to include a series on Levinas? Please say yes Professor!

can we conclude that the logos is subjective and possibly based on individual perspective? or is the logos the macroscopic objective reality based on phenomenology?

I wouldn't try to shoehorn it into any categories other than those Heidegger selected

I understand your lecture and the phenomenon: but the quarrel between the surroundigs with a multi-cultural l'landscape' (also with knowing and strive ) made me think about a coming disaster : i hope I can give truth and responsibility for my surrounding: .perhaps there are rules for the 'mensenpark'. Thanks: it is good to listen, and I hope I give you something back in stead of problems. There is no 'talk' of '''toeval',
