Martin Logan ESL-X speaker review - Budget electrostatics for BIG sound!

I have the ESL-Xs and completely agree with the comments given in the video regarding placement; arriving at the most advantageous alignment for my room took quite a while to accomplish; also, optimal seating position is very tight - down to a single listener in my experience and in my opinion. They do offer a transparency, depth and width of soundstage that I would find hard to live without, in particular in delivering well recorded live jazz. I have amps that have a high damping factor and high current output which I think is quite important for these speakers. I swapped the supplied Switch Mode PSU's with good quality linear PSUs and this resulted in an uplift is SQ.

I owned a pair of Martin Logan original CLS speaker and loved the sound however over time the panels had to be replaced several times as they degrade and that is very costly, after a while Martin Logan didn't even offer a replacement for the CLs so you then have to eat the cost and toss them. I'm wondering if the same is true with these fairly new panels and if they will need to be replaced over time at the owners great expense. Big $$$ for Martin Logan.

We have never had a client that has needed to repair the panels. I've got a 15 year old pair of electrostatics that are still rocking. With that said, I probably just jinxed our business and we will have MANY repair calls this coming week.
