Not very experienced, but with potential...He saved the hard truth...it is very difficult to find quality companies, which are for sale regularly with assets over $ 5 000 000.00. Takes a lot of time, cold calls and emails, meetings, negotiations and personal life. It is almost impossible to balance between work and personal life. It is also important to get somewhat of skill set and deals on the table of job interview. Sales experience is definitely a plus. These experience will give you a better leverage to negotiate when you apply for a job in any financial institution. At the end of the day your objective should be to be the owner of PEF, not to work for these Funds or Banks.

Great talk Martin. To answer AUBGTalks q below, Martin immediately engages with the audience and doesn't flatly invalidate audience members when they offer answers. Rather, Martin hints solutions with the goal of the audience finding the answer. This technique maintains the engagement and allows a more complete concept to be understood. Just look at how he develops the concept for the audience after the question at 33:50. His style is professional but relaxed he looks as if he really enjoys PE. Martin also immediately pulls the discussion into a structured format and makes good use of diagrams that flow left to right with timely, relevant examples at each stage of the pres. Martin is a dynamic presenter, changing the depth of explanation and adjusting the presentation until the audience grasps a concept. This is a talent in any industry, not just teaching - anyone who has seen a lecturer "read" powerpoint slides for an hour or a meeting chair plough through the minutes will know this. I have watched a lot of PE, IB & CF pres's from Harvard, Wharton, Columbia, Stanford, UCLA etc and this is definitely one of the best.
