Ang pagbirit, pagkulot ng voice ay ilan lamang sa mga vocal stunts na maituturing, it could be applied to any song na babagay dito. Ang mga ganitong uri ng stilo sa pag-awit at naka-eenhance ng impact at approach sa kanta. But in the case ng ating national anthem hindi ito pinapayagan. Some of us would say it was done well, while others disagree.

Just like to remind you guys that singing is an art therefore it is subjective. Ang maganda sa akin ay maaring hindi maganda sa inyo, ganun din nman ang maganda para kay Martin ay hindi maganda para sa iba. The only issue is that our law does not allow these kind of rendition. If you can recall marami ng choral groups ang umawit ng ating pambasang awit na hindi eksakto sa original na tono nito pero wala nmang naging issue tulat nito.

The law is the law!! Martin Nievera should have not sung it in his version, he is not authorized by law to do it. The NHI Should bring this in court. RA 8494 would come out useless. Martin Nievera should also apologize to the people for having done that, its not that because he was just invited to sing, the has he obligation to sing the national anthem in accordance to how it should have been sung, and the tune is not for him to change.

Regarding his rendition of the national anthem, it was actually great, but I don't think our country is allowing us to create rendition such as that to our anthem unlike the american anthem which has plenty different renditions. I think this issue shouldn't come up and there should be committee who checks who's gonna sing and how it's going to be sang. Don't blame the guy for singing it with his heart.

Times maybe changing but that does not give one the license to bastardize the National Anthem. The Anthem should be treated with utmost respect, singers can do their own version of songs but please not the National Anthem. Madalas mga pinoy talaga di maintindihan, kung ginawang simple ang ginawang agkanta ni Martin dito, sasabihin ng iba dyan na walang kwenta performance or walang effort at boring. I am not a fan of Martin but I think his rendition is great. Let's give him a credit for singing the song with a good tagalog accent at hindi yung tulad ng naakala ng iba noon na pangit daw magtagalog si Martin. He did his best. And yes, he did not forget the lyrics!
