NEW YORK, September 20, 2018 - The story of stories is the subject of Harvard professor Martin Puchner's groundbreaking research on the history of the written word. From the ancient epics of the Babylonians to the evolution of electronic storytelling, podcasts, audiobooks, and new mediums of consumption, Puchner chronicles the inventions and innovations that turned our planet into a written world. This presentation was conducted as part of JLF at New York, a daylong celebration of literature, culture, and ideas. (32 min., 55 sec.)

So compelling-the history of writing, and of language generally. The more I learn, the more language is the kindling igniting the fire of consciousness, and writing the pulley of civilization’s construction. I guess these make metaphors the mouse-click of digital discursion?
