Got my SC13 after they came out at NAMN. I absolutely love it! If you play mostly electric you’ll feel right at home on this guitar.

Dude I ordered the sunburst one online and they sent the wrong one. Also, the action was buzzy and bad. I realize I should have adjusted the truss rod and fixed the action myself, but for 2 grand, you would think they would adjust it before sending. I returned it. Still enamored with that cutaway, but Martin let me down...I'm going back to Taylor asap.

Just bought my Custom GPCPA4R 2014 : I’m a total amateur 4 chord teacher that wanted to play Happy Birthday for my students. I’m 61 and I have 25 fifth graders that are pretty happy that I give them a song and a pick. Love watching someone with great talent and humor. Thanks For all the hours of entertainment.

Very nice. I went looking for one of these a year ago, but nobody local had them, and I wanted to deal with a local shop. Fortunately, I found a D13e hanging on the wall of a nearby shop, compared it to a half dozen other guitars in a similar price range, and walked out with the D13. I think it is a very close sibling of the SC13. A year later, I am very happy with it. Balanced sound, easy to play, and a great value. Go forth and gig it, Sean!

I know this video is from last year but I finally got an SC13e Special. I also had my eye on it for over a year after going to the Martin factory. I love this guitar!! I've had it for three weeks and the strings are already old. What strings do you use on yours? I think the action could be lowered a tad but thankfully I have a local Martin repair shop near my house.

Once again, your a lucky dog there Mr. Daniel! 8) That looks like it uses the new longitudinal dove tail system. I've been playing around with something very similar to mount Tele necks for a few years. Taylor has a locking system I thought would work great with that concept also. The Fishman sounds good too. I'm waiting for a hybrid of that to put in a Fender Acoustisonic. The biggest drawback on those is they are way too limited on sound choices. Every one should have all the options available on them all, not just the ones available for that type! Its software!! Congrats!!! 8) --gary

When I won my Yamaha FG840 in an online contest, it was done by getting in the draw by asking a skill testing question. A casino like wheel (software of some sort) had the names as spokes. My latest video has showcased the instrument. Way to go Sean!

Sean I am not the guy that writes in the comments, EVER! However when you received and unboxed this Martin I just had to share two of my favorite Martin players of all time. They are a couple of guys known as Batdorf and Rodney. They had two maybe three albums in the very early 70's. They have several really good songs but one I always recommend is titled "Can You See Him" I am providing the link to this song if you are interested and I think you may be. Anyway I have been following you for some time now and I must say you are more than entertaining plus I love how you interact with others on your channel. It's pretty obvious that you're not really *that* highly impressed with this thing and you're struggling to find positives to say about it. The pickups could go on a $100 Harley Benton and sound just as good

If you want to break new ground in that field, *Foundling* might be worth trying. Replication is not part of the Cardiacs covers tradition that's developing.

An example of sticking quite close to the original, but "taking it nice and far from home" would be Dave Graham's string quartet version of *Insect Hoofs on Lassie* kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqmUaJdpmZugg80 (which has a picture of some genuine insect hoofs on Lassie as a bonus.) Obviously this is not something you could do on guitar; it's just a suggestion of how much licence you have when making covers of things the audience doesn't want done exactly the way it was in that one studio recording they know it by.)

Sounds buzzy while played acoustic, don't like it...all I hear is highs low end is absent....maybe the mics are not good but not a good look for a Martin guitar sound cheap in this video.
