The opening has a Greek influence. Did your father enjoy Greek music?

Great that scorsese liked murder by contract. It was a movie which had a feel all of its own

There is nobody better that Scorsese when it comes to talking about movies.

What I call a film from "out of left field". It has no apparent lineage and there's nothing quite like it . Forever staying on the outer edges of cinema but can't be forgotten. It's brilliant, sleazy and cold as ice. Plus it has the Scorsese stamp of approval. 62 year old film contemporary in any age

Not cold enough. I would've rathered he went through with the hit. I don't mind if the police gun him down nor if he just gets away but I didn't like that he bottled the hit.

And, yet though it is still criticized, it was avant-guard, American Euro, a picture that set it's own mold. Terrible ratings to be labeled a "B" picture, drive-in picture, or whatever. Edwards was very menacing in both this and 'City of Fear'. Of course they drowned him in boring soap opera like Ben Casey on TV.

Neil Dickson I don’t blame him for the hipster crime of not having rich parents and wanting to support his family.

The score and the LA freeway sequence is a gem. A really fine B. Was Harry Cohn still alive when this was produced? Herschel Bernardi one of our great character players good chance to see him do his stuff.

I've a feeling Jim Jaramush's movie 'Down by Law' had a kinda similar feel to this movie.

it doesn't, but see it anyway.

@@plasticweapon I meant similar how the music was used. Where it drops in and out during the movie.

A view to a kill. Hey, Martin, you ever read 'The Prophet' by Kahlil Gibran? You might be enlightened.
