Great interview, MK asking good questions MS answering them in great detail and explaining his trade meticulously. Michael Powell was also a great director, he came from Bekesbourne Nr Canterbury, Kent, hence the film A Canterbury Tale, thank you for uploading 👍

I was introduced to Peeping Tom in a semester entitled The Horror Film at the University of Colorado-Denver, taught by Howie Movshovitz, then the film critic of the Denver Post. Howie did not screen it because, due to time constraints and the breadth of the subject, there wasn't time. But we took class time -- about 40 mintues -- to discuss Psycho, PT, and John McNaughton's Henry: Portrait of Serial Killer (all films he admired) since all dealt with a homicidal personality. He did not recommend one over the other but did warn more sensitive natures about them. I've seen all. For me, Henry was the most difficult to get through.

Michael Powell, and his cinematographer, Jack Cardiff, were brilliant when it came to the use of color, and "The Red Shoes" is their crowning achievement.

I just got done watching this movie and this was amazing the cinematography acting and just straight up wired yet scary and sympathetic character in mark lewis the movie really explored the art of fear how fear is used for violence and his fetish for filming the deaths of his victims was quite interesting I loved this movie such a great film.

A small aside…the Quad Cinema was on East 13th street and made a huge cultural difference to those who lived nearby…I lived on W 13th street.

Love to hear Martin Scorcese talk. He talks like Iggy Pop when he was making his comeback in the seventies.. Very interesting mind and brain. Interesting talk

Mr Scorsese is one of the people whose "italianness" or "italianity" is so undeterred and wonderful, almost touching. And his passion for Cinema and movie making together with music knowledge are so impressive and inspiring that I would like so much to slap this idiot who thumbed down this interview, what's not to like of the video? Where his/her/its deception come from, after having chosen to watch it? Thanks for posting

Concerned as it is with the behaviour of a murderous focus-puller, being one myself, though of the non-murderous kind, when I first saw Peeping Tom in the late 70s it has always intrigued me. That said, it is by no means one of my favourite Michael Powell movies.
