Really like Martin Shaw. Saw him first in The Professionals and he and Lewis Collins were such a great team. A girl I work with said she said hello to him at a train station and said he spoke to her and was very warm and friendly.

Have you got the recent 'Network DVD' (remastered and fully restored) reissues of all four series of 'The Professionals' yet? There are tons of bonus features on each one and they are all still available to buy on both DVD and Blu-Ray formats from most online retailers. I have the DVD versions myself and I can highly recommend them.

I loved the Professionals and have the DVD set. I went right off Martin Shaw when I found out that because he did not enjoy his time working on the show he withheld his consent for the show to be re-run on tv. This meant that fellow cast members who had fallen on some hard times like Lewis Collins and Gordon Jackson’s widow could not get any royalties from the show. He finally relented. Now I don’t watch anything he is in. I think he is a Pratt.

I'm in Canada but always loved that show. I also heard he disliked Collins because Collins wasn't a "classically trained actor" - in other words, Shaw is a snob.

Apparitions was great, one episode was filmed not far from me, wonder if it's on KZbin

Yes, I remember both of them. In 'Apparitions' he plays a priest called Father Jacob, who has to deal with exorsisms, etc. I believe that Shaw also co-produced the show. Sadly, it only lasted for one series, as it proved to be too controversial for the BBC, due to some admittedly gory scenes. As for 'Always And Everyone' he played a top surgeon called Dr. Robert Kingsford opposite former 'Heartbeat' star Niamh Cusack and Michael Kitchen.
