When he was a kid, he would perform the Martin Short Show at home by himself. He grew up to live out his dreams. Luckily for us.

In the first row dead center of the audience was Marty"s guest the great JP Dougherty (Master of the House Les Miserable and later Hairspray) along with his Boston Atty Mark Smith and PR and Boston sidekick and pretend cousin John Doherty. JP can be heard thru out the televised concert on PBS laughing and or clapping before anyone else.

Wow, look at how cute and young he was here back then! (When was this taken? I LOVE his singing here, and it’s a bit of a shame with a voice like that he never made any albums or anything, I absolutely LOVED his voice as a kid as The Cat In The Hat in The Cat In The Hat Knows Alot About That!” and looking back I honestly regret not having a celebrity crush on him sooner 13 years earlier back then, (as unfortunately he’s MUCH older from this now), but discovering him after The Cat, he is amazing! 😊 (He was recently one of the hosts at The Oscars and it was great to see him on there, he was hilarious! 😂

@princesspeachfan100 I forget the exact date but probably around 2000 when I was recording tv with a computer. In the early days of file sharing. Martin surprised me with this one. I grew up with him on 👉SCTV. If you haven't seen them I highly suggest you search KZbin for episodes and skits. By far the funniest group to ever walk in front of a camera.
