Nah Martin was set to join the factory team. Ducati's plan was to get Marquez to pramac and Martin to factory but Marquez blew their head off by saying pramac was not an option so they took a U-turn instead and picked Marc. Martin was informed about this and he just left.

Regardless of anything else, this will shape up the rest of this season and next year to be more exciting. IF MM is going to be PB's teammate next year, and depending on how Ducati feels about JM jumping off, more drama for this year and maybe more support for MM from Ducati this year, if possible. One thing would be for sure, IF MM is the new Ducati Team member (next year but if announced soon), Ducati will want to see PB and MM at the top THIS year. Should all be fun to watch. Ducati are insane for letting him go. I’m happy for Jorge and Aprilia though. At Aleix’s farewell, the fact that Jorge was sitting next to the Aprilia team boss kind of gave things away. I think Jorge will perform better than Aleix and Maverick, certainly in terms of consistency. All it seems the Aprilia needs is a bit more top end. I hope the inside knowledge and experience that Martin will bring to Aprilia will help his new team bring it to Ducati next year. A poor short term decision by Ducati, investing in the older champion with limited future instead of supporting the current points leader with far better long term prospects. I don't know lot of BTS stuff... OBVIOUSLY because im a fan but I heard in Dura la Vita (Jorge Lorenzo podcast) that Gresini or VR46 probably will not be Ducati next year and will be most likely Yamaha. So if that is true it means 6 slots not 8 and probably 2 with a year old bike. Thinking without what the press says and that I really think the best scenario is: Factory Ducati: Pecco and Enea Pramac: Franky and Di Giannantonio VR46/Gresini I assume with a 2024 bike: Bezzecchi and Aldeguer. If the team that allegedly will go Yamaha between Gresini and VR46 was to be VR46, I think it presents a nice chance for Marquez to stay within the Ducati lineup for obvious reasons (relationship with Rossi in case it isn't obvious). In that case I feel he should go Pramac but, imo, he is either factory or brand switch. I thought he was perfect for KTM especially because of the RedBull link and stuff, but with Acosta and Binder secured if it isn't Factory Ducati or Pramac I don't think he will ride a year old bike for Ducati, I don't think he will go Aprilia with Martin, and I really doubt he will go Yamaha. My reasoning with Factory Ducati keeping Enea, is that his first season was tough because of the injury. He is fast af and I feel that he can benefit if he has his future secured like mentally speaking. I felt him incredibly strong in Portimao last year, with an attitude of "im here for the title" and then he had the injury that from that first race fucked up his whole factory rider plan (imo of course) because he came back, had to gain confidence, title of course out of the question and almost the whole first year of his factory contract gone. This year Enea is doing well under the spotlight, Martin now is gone to Aprilia but Marquez I know how talented he is, I know he can win the championship in this year old bike, but I feel Pecco doesn't want to have him precisely because of that reason. With all of that being said, when asked and Pecco said he wanted Enea to stay and the comments said he was a coward because it is the easy option for him not to have a rivalry within the team FOR ME, Enea with two years will not give a fuck and, if he doesn't get injured in the first fucking race of the season again, will actually give Pecco a challenge. *Parentheses about Enea* (Enea is 39 points behind Pecco... in my view, that is actually giving him a challenge, even if they haven't gone h2h like when Enea was in Gresini, lets say Pecco DNFs a Sprint and a Race and Enea wins both, that's 37/39 points of the gap he just reduced... for me Enea understands this perfectly, he knows Martin is the Championship Leader, Marquez is one of the all-time greats, and Pecco of course the World Champion and most valuable asset of Ducati AND STILL he is within touching distance of them without getting the attention. Idk if you watch football but is like Rodrygo with Vinicius, Vinicius gets the attention when performing good, gets it triple when performing bad, and Rodrygo sometimes is outperforming Vini in silence and some times is performing 3x worse than when Vini was performing bad but crucially in silence as well) *End of parentheses about Enea :)* This silly season is really interesting but I feel the factory Ducati best option for everyone is Enea... if Marc was to be ok with not being a factory rider but having the 2025 bike with Pramac, that for me would provide an amazing battle between him and Pecco next year. Even if another team was to challenge the Ducatis more often in 2025 (which I hope so) for me it would not be a secret that Enea renewing probably will feel to Marquez as a sign Pecco did not want him.. Hopefully that's the case: Pecco, Enea and Marc in 2025s Ducatis.

A very logical decision when you get written off by Ducati Lenovo because of someone with "more status", despite your performance and being not only a championship contender, but also the current leader. At least, that's what the rumors regarding Marquez suggest, but we'll have to wait and see if that's actually true. They're are no riders that want to ride for Pramac so there is a chance Enea keeps the factory seat and Ducati gives a 2025 bike to Gresini so Marc can continue to ride with Alex. I imagine Red Bull is backing up a truck of money to somehow keep Marquez from putting on anything that says Monster

Surprise but fair play to him. I think it will show his quality. I will be despised for saying this, but I feel that changing bikes and winning is the mark of a true champion. Valentino and Marc were and are showing what great riders they are, even if Marc hasn't won yet, it's only a matter of time. After Aleix retiring and Maverick unsure of his next move, Aprillia fans needed some good news and they certainly got that!.

Not in Marcs case, he failed to develop his own bike at honda after Dani left, and ran away to the #1 bike that someone else developed for him after leaving honda in a steaming pile following 2 years of failure as the lead development rider. Champions left for another bike for a challenge, marc left because he couldn't win.

​@@samblack5313i don't think it was marq problem 😂 honda was fall short on competition even this season, mark was just a rider and the team should provided what rider wants but they failed so hard but they tried and for someone who want to compete the championship it was only way to leave honda...not particularly mm fans but as motogp fans still think mm was very talented, ruthless and tough ride in the circuit

Hum interesting? You say that Marc went downhill after Dani left. Well, he went on to win the 2019 title race with 4, yes, 4 rounds to spare and after falling in the season opener 2020 at Jerez, came from last to second and would have taken 1st, in my opinion, before loosing the front due to tyre wear and being crocked for a season and a half, when no development or improvements were made to the Honda. By the time he got back on it, Ducati and the other manufacturers had significantly changed and raised their game, leaving Honda in their wake. And is this the same Marc that was team mate to Dani, who by the way never won the title, and in his very first season actually won the title becoming the youngest ever champion, successfully defending it the next year? As I say, interesting.

that's dumb of ducati. mm93 clearly doesn't care about money, he wants to win. that's why he joined ducati and they got pressured into moving mm93 into ducati factory at the risk of losing 2 very good young riders enea and martin. even if ducati doesn't sign mm93 to factory, high chance mm93 won't leave a championship bike at pramac. now they lost martin to aprilia and there's a chance bestia might leave too. 0/10 move.

This was coming as Ducati was delaying in making their mind-up and speculations of prima pramac signing with Yamaha as a satellite team which is not very competitive at the moment. Enea should get a chance with ducati as he is an exceptional talent and his 2023 got ruined due to injuries.

Maybe there will be a smooth transfer from Marc, Marc to Factory Ducati and Enea Bastianini to Team Pramac with Aldeguer, Mobidelli to Grecini (maybe) or it could also be that Aldeguer is entrusted to Grecini and Morbidelli to Pramac with Bastianini... but will Aldeguer be a succes like Acosta? because he will definitely get a under pressure from Ducati where Aldeguer has a contract with Ducati, even in Moto2 it seems like he will be under pressure when racing because in 2025 he already has a place in MotoGP #from 🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩

I’ve been saying it many times Ducati got all the data. They knew what is going on when looking at telemetry data. Marc was so fast on that GP23 where the other riders on the same machinery getting smoked by him every weekend which also has a huge performance deficit compared to GP24 but stupid fans keep comparing Ducati last season performance.

I think this is definitely part of it. Bagnaia himself said the GP24 is 1.5 seconds faster, which is unbelievable, but makes Marquez look out of this world if even close to being true.

I believe Jorge jumped ship because he knew he was not going to get the Ducati factory seat which they are obviously giving to Marquez. I personally hope Martin goes on to win the World Championship this year and can repeat the feat next year, I really don't care for how Ducati has conducted themselves with regard to Martin.

I know he will do well at Aprilia, but he should have got the factory Ducati ride. He deserves it
