The little boy was her guardian angel who suffered the same fate previously. Hence you never see him change clothes, even at night when it's bedtime and he's talking to her out her window and the room is dark. All the children at the end are a representation of that. Each of those kids at the end of the video suffered that same fate, but you find them together and happy for the first time. It took death for them to be happy because they weren't loved in life, they were beaten and abused literally to death, but also shows God didn't forget them, by uniting them together in the afterlife as they all make their way to heaven. This song was to bring awareness to child abuse and not to sit idly by and watch it or pretend you don't see it. This song *NEVER* fails to make me cry *EVERY SINGLE TIME.*

As you may have noticed as her mom started beating her he looked up to heaven asking his father why she has to suffer. I agree, in my life I don't know how many times I have heard men talk about what horrible their exes were, they just had to leave, but they leave their innocent, helpless children behind. I am not talking about the men who fight for their kids, that is a different scenario. That happened in my late Sister-in-Laws family. Their mom was crazy. She would chase her husband around the house with an axe. She believed people lived in the heating ducts. He left and didn't even try to take his 5 kids, he almost never saw them. The trauma they endured was horrible.

Concrete angels refers to the headstones of the graves of the kids!!!!! The little boy was an angel that came to get her and Martina said she wanted this song after her niece was killed by physical abuse by her sister. Also I was beaten on an almost daily basis and can relate to the part of the song of wishing I was never born and I would be at wrestling practice and the welts sometimes would open up and I would have blood on my shirt, but my coaches or teammates never said a thing.

I find it interesting that there are two interpretations as to who the boy is. One is that he is simply an angel guiding her to Heaven. The other is that he actually died from child abuse as well and that he guides her to a special place where only kids go who die in this same manner.
