This is my childhood. I was born in 1971. They didn't do anything back then. This song absolutely gutted me the first time I heard it. It still does. There were a few times they almost went too far. Honestly I used to hope they did si it would just be over. I'm 53. I still struggle but I have love now. I'm grateful for him. For our life. 😢🧡

Most people watching the music video never realize that, and to be honest for the people who do realize it, in my opinion it makes the song hit harder. To be honest I don’t think this reactor realized it either. You can tell when the reactor understands that message in the video, because the reactor voices that the boy and the other children that he and the girl run to are angels. The children are symbolizing the fallen victims of abuse!

The little boy was her angel of death if you notice he was dressed in black and the background of his room was completely dark. It's OK to die but it's not okay to kill. We should all be so lucky to have a friend that can see us to the other side.

This one was hard to listen to the first time that i heard it especially. It brought back away too many memories. I was born in 1963 and back then, the attitude was that "what happens behind closed doors stays behind closed doors. Others knew but ignored it. I even showed the bruises to the school counselor and they called my mom and told her what i said she has been doing. It made things worse and i learned to keep my mouth shut. Years later, and two failed marriages where there was one form or another of abuse later, I'm still dealing with PTSD and anxiety disorder from everything. In the first marriage, I told my church leader and was told that if i were a submissive enough wife, my husband wouldn't have need to "discipline" me. I'm healing slowly, but it's still hard some days.

I once taught Junior ROTC at a high school. We had to fit each student with a uniform. One afternoon, my Senior Cadet Logistics Officer and I was fitting some incoming freshmen. One kid took off his shirt to try on a military shirt and I saw his back. I left my Logistics Cadet to continue sizing the kids. I went to the School.Security Officer and the School Counselor and dragged them back to see this kid. He was removed from his home and his parents were arrested,. That line about the teacher ignoring what she saw breaks my heart but also angers me beyond belief. Such teachers need to find a more suitable Jon than teaching.

Sometimes you can scream about it until you are blue in the face, but sometimes CPS threatens the one telling. I have been on that end where I continued to say something and nothing was done for yrs until the step child got hurt. Very sad because the mother stayed with the abuser.

I have to say a couple things I love your reactions I love how you would respond and how do you feel about people who do this kind of thing I just read a story about a young woman must been 24 live with her parents she put her baby who was not even a month old in the oven at 400° and then called her dad and he came home and found the baby in the cradle and it was horrifying. You cannot possibly mistake a cradle for an oven at 400° yet this woman did this. I will never understand.

Something that I think you missed in the video, is an in your face hidden sub story that most people who watch the video never realize. The little boy is an Angel who was sent to be with her. At the grave side he walks through someone on the other side reunites with her they glow then turn and run up a hill to other waiting children. Those children are all angels. The children together symbolize the fallen victims of abuse.
