So I have a bourbon related question... with the different aged components of the blend, do they add them together and then average it for the age of the bourbon or do they go by the time of blending as the age?.. does that makes sense to anyone?...

I think I understand the question. Usually, the way a blend works, is the master distiller wanders around the rickhouse (bourbon barrel aging building) and samples from different barrels. Then he'll select several barrels, that blended together, create the flavor he wants. So, in short, they're blended after they've been aged. - Keith

They usually won't put age statements on blends. Sometimes they do, when say, the minimum age of the blend components is 8 years or so.

Faith Hill's "There You'll Be" was a song I shared with the love of my life before she passed last December. Fifty-Four glorious years and that song told her she'd always be with me and I'll always be with her, she was the foundation for me. If there is any way you can react to it, I would be very grateful. Make sure those you love know exactly how you feel. Some songs attach to your soul. While this song happened at a time of profound sorrow it also brought happiness. I know she's no longer in pain and I know she knows I loved her as much as she loved me. Those are gifts beyond measure as are the kids and grandkids.

Martina McBride is married to John McBride, Who used to be the production manager for Garth Brooks. I saw Garth Brooks in concert in the early 90s in Columbia, SC.
