The thing that makes this so great is that Brad and Carrie are beyond best friends, they are like brother and sister, so they can come together on a duet like this and there's no wierd sexual tension, it's just nothing but AWESOME!! And yes Carrie can flip notes all over the place as smooth as silk. And brad's guitar playing is a beautiful thing all in it's own. I could listen to him play all day!!!! (Brad generally does not use studio guitarists in his music) He and Keith Urban have a thing about that, its not so much ego, it's a desire for the music to be a quality that they think it needs to be.

Great comments! Totally agree that this is a home run for both Brad and Carrie. Not only does Brad do all his own playing, he uses his touring band on all his recordings which is very unusual. A lot of rock guitarists may be great players, but they don't necessarily have the skill to play a piece the same way 26 times. The top country players do. They tend to be much better technical players. Some of them (Keith Urban and Vince Gill, for example) started out as top session players. Keith actually plays most of the guitar/banjo/mandolin/etc. as overdubs on his songs.
@BourbonCountryReacts2 жыл бұрын
While I can name plenty of rock guitarists that are unbelievably skilled technical players, and can play any genre if they wish, it's becoming clear to me that there are plenty of good country guitarists out there. His guitars are based on the Telecaster but they are made by Crook Custom Guitars. You can have one made for yourself. Prices I’ve seen are around $3500. From what I’ve read and seen on vids, Brad’s typically have a bender in them. Usually a B-bender. He has thrown in a G-bender occasionally. What that does is bends, for lack of a better way of saying it, the string up a half step when you push the guitar away from you as it is attached to the strap button. Makes the 6-string guitar sound like a steel guitar is the purpose. Hopefully that makes sense.
@oceanwolfestudio1422 жыл бұрын
You explained things so well but you got one thing incorrect he only uses G- bender’s in his guitar bc he prefers the way it sounds compared to a B bender.. he explained this on the guitar center video…

A couple other good ones (understatement much?!!) are "Jesus, Take the Wheel" - an early Carrie - and a duet with Miranda Lambert called "Something Bad"; for Brad, something I haven't seen reacted to at all is his song about cancer. It's really good. You guys are fun to watch react to music (and bourbon).

Thanks for enjoying, I've added votes for the songs you mentioned, do you know the name of the Brad tune? -Dustin

@@BourbonCountryReacts It's called "This is Country Music". It's not specifically about cancer, that's just how it starts.

I'm pretty sure this old man could fit right in with your controversy issues with your song selection and could make a good choices of your favorite bourbon drinks a just time or two ok night buddies

Loved the reaction ❤️ You guys would love Justin Moore’s = Home Sweet Home cover ft Vince Neil in a country version has a lot more musical production than the original by Motley Crue. I like it better than the original.

Alcohol is not even in his top 10 best tunes. He has beautiful songs like 'She's everything to me' & 'Waitin' on a woman' & some hilarious ones like 'Ticks' & 'I'm gonna miss her'.
