Love Sterlings planners because there are no pesky colors on Sat and Sun that might class with my spread lol - I get what you mean about the lines on your columns, etc I prefer to use great ink, light blue, etc

This was so helpful. I used to be a strictly horizontal planner but I finally tried vertical and realized I was able to actually plan my day instead of just making lists. These layouts really show how versatile the vertical options can be.

My two favorite layouts are your Bujo and timeline spreads - I like to put times on when I need to and to have a general idea of what happens morning, afternoon, evening and I will be trying the Nolte layout

I use a horizontal layout for my personal planner mostly (Sterling Ink Weeks) and a weird franken-layout in my passport. But for work, I definitely use vertical weekly layout and I've been trying different things to make it work better. Your "Nolty" layout was extremely helpful and I'm definitely going to try this next in my work planner. Thanks for trying all of these and giving your feedback, it was very helpful!

Thank you for taking the time to breakdown different planner layouts. Have tried all but the "Nolty". No matter what, I keep going back to Horizontal layout. It's my preferred method. Also a lefty and prefer writing on the right hand side. May give bullet journaling a try again in the future 🫣 Thanks for sharing.

In my Hobonichi weeks, I usually ignore the layout and divide the right hand page into 8 squares for a square a day on the opposite side I put deco, a definition, a quote and a this week list. Love your Bujo layout! That’s funny, I prefer the days either in the middle or on the right (unless doing a timeline vertical spread) and I’m right handed… that’s why I rarely leave the H Weeks alone

I use daily’s for journaling or note taking so I think that’s why I like the 8 boxes on the right. I totally ignore the times but I do like the timetable layout

Super interesting and helpful video. These layouts all seem to work particularly well in the standard TN size. I’m using a B6 Common Planner half year for 2024. I don’t know why I chose that size, cuz I’m not a B6 girl. 🥴😬☺️😅 I reeeaaally wish I would’ve ordered the N1 monthly and N1 weekly booklets. BUT… maybe changing up my weekly layouts in the B6 will make it more workable for me. TFS!!

I started in the TN common planner horizontal weekly layout (bought the VDS BECAUSE OT LOOKED BEAUTIFUL IN YOURS) then bought the A5 - vertical and then watched your video on rings and now I am in rings . And I now have every VDS size you have. So …..your videos made me do it LOL

I still use Hobonichi weeks for this year anyway even though I absolutely hate horizontal, but I use columns or ignore the horizontal lines and use that side for quote definitions, deco and put 8 squares on the opposite side etc - next year I plan to use the N2 or weeks vertical planner from Sterling ink!
