Can you please tell me how he slowed that F-16 down on approach so drastically with no air brakes or flaps?? I have a bunch of F-16s and every one of them comes in hot even at high AoA. His must have an extremely low wing loading or something? In fact your FC1 was also insanely slow on finals - what’s going on here??

Nose up and the belly slows it down real quick… works best with large or heavy models as the inertia is slowed down by the drag

LIFT = aoa + airspeed, normal to a curling surface, in space.

@ agreed, smaller models, taken to the extreme in foam models, just doesn’t scale down, best guess is not enough inertia to keep forward momentum despite the nose up attitude

With all due respect. Many of the fliers of today throwing around the word Build like candy. Today’s hobby isn’t about building. It’s about some minor assembly required. It takes literally one to two days. Back then, it used to be weeks or moths back then.

Das ist ja kein Modellbau, das ist Teile zusammenbauen die schon vorgefertigt sind. Das ist das Eine. Untermalt wird das ganze noch mit dieser schrecklichen KI- Stimme, das macht dann alles kaputt... 👎 Die Modelle an sich sind aber trotzdem wunderschön.....

The grass is not smooth and with the wing tips it could easily have dug in causing damage to the wing…

Hi Martin, I don't think it is a real good demonstration to show how to "build" such an challenging rc model in "one" day. It is not as easy as it appears, and there are missing quite a lot of checks. The confirmation for this, you can observe easily in the malfunction of the retract. This plane is perfectly manufactured, and you scratch it on the first flight? I am a little bit disappointed, you should show more respect to this topic, you could cause injuries. And know one thing: especially these arabian friends in Dubai will be the first ones to arrest you due an accident with harmed humans.

The retract oversight is something that I have seen from people after building a model for months, there is always going to be risk, and the fact that one can build a jet in a day does not mean one should, it is just a testament to the manufacturer that they can provide a model so well finished

Gear was probably damaged when it was initially installed incorrectly and was extended into the fuselage.
