heyy Martin, I really appreciate this video.. I thought it's my responsibility as a Sri Lankan to correct you in few things if you're misguided.. Sigiriya is in an ancient Kingdom (not a temple) built by King Kashyapa. He was afraid that his brother gonna come and kill him cause he killed his own father to takeover the country.. So he built the citadel on the top of the rock. And the ponds which were there at the ground level were not swimming pools. they were just ponds to make the garden looks more prettier and slow down the enemy in an invasion.. they are there, all around the rock :)
