Marty is, as always, brilliant, but what is truly impressive is how Tim Brooke-Taylor, a great comedian in his own right, plays such a great, and self-effacing, and perfect second - true genius. The ladies are also spot on.

One of my all time favorite comedy sketches, thank you for posting it. What ever "It" was, Marty seemed so happy to own one. That guy at the end who we only see briefly (John Junkin) was in the Beatles A Hard Day's Night.

I've come looking for this because this sketch has stuck with me for 50 years. I never noticed before, the guy at the end was in A Hard Day's Night with the Beatles. Now I'm off for the British Royalty sketch where they hide a camera in a horse.
@pschroeter19 жыл бұрын
Oh thank you so much for the memory. Now I know why show resides in my brain as a vague, but very loved memory. I want to see the sketch where he "hid a camera inside a horse" so he could observer royalty in their natural habitat.

I agree and actually liked this sketch. I just can't understand why people can't enjoy different forms of entertainment on KZbin without having to diss other forms. Every Rolling Stones song has people saying that they're better than the Beatles. Every Beatles song has people commenting that all modern music is crap. NFL clips have people saying that soccer is better. Then people start debating soccer vs football. Ugh.

God, how I wish I could find video of the sketch with Feldman begging a guy on the street for five bob, which escalated into, "If you don't give me five bob, I shall take off all me clothes." It was absolutely hilarious, and the first truly British comedy I ever saw, on that Dean Martin summer replacement show around 1968.
