Never was a Pearl Jam fan but when this song came out I thought it was just beautiful. Has a dust in the wind vibe for obvious reasons. Marty nailed it as usual!

Huge Pearl Jam fan here. I absolutely love this song. Like a lot of people, I was looking for a good guitar teacher… Marty’s teaching is amazing but being able to learn my favourite songs, priceless! This is the problem with Yousician etc. the song choices suck! Thank you for your hard work and dedication Marty 🙏🏻. Subbed and rang that bell 🔔!

Oh I got it! Pinch, D, B, A, G, then D, B again. Lol, took me a while following step by step
@mschruntek3 ай бұрын
Fantastic. Thank. you. The two versions of "pinch ___" is very helpful out of the several tutorials I've watched . Any tips for someone who gets thrown off as soon as I hit the wrong string while travis picking? I typically feel panicked keeping up, then go off the rails once I screw up a single note. I try keeping an 8 count in my head to course correct but that doesn't seem to help. ("Just breathe" would probably be an appropriate response, haha.)

DO A LESSON ON "that thing you do"!!!!! I love this song
@maximusrex86894 ай бұрын
If you struggle with the finger picking like I did I would suggest skipping the last two notes. For example, for the first pattern I would pinch the A and B string, then pluck D then G, then A then B, NEXT CHORD. This makes the cadence a lot easier for me personally and the second pass on the D and G string isn’t prominent anyways so it still sounds 95% as good.
