This is one I have yet to see in the wild. I hadn't even heard of this until recently, when Gameboyle did a review, with similar sentiments, though I think he was a bit less harsh on the game. I did know about Ninja Taro, however, and the connection with the larger series is interesting. I appreciate the historical context and information you provided. Another bang up job, good sir.

This game had an American release?! I bought this game for the Japanese 3DS virtual console because I liked NES Ninja Kid on my bootleg GBA cartridge. Its not an amazing game, its just okay, but it has a bizarre charm to it

The regional differences are interesting like the cross to kill the Dracula being swapped with Garlic and some enemies are swapped

having the boss be a senpai friend in the end is reminiscent of 8 Eyes... Another flawed game, but for a Castlevania clone, it is very enduring for the story and play, this goes with Maru's Mission as well.

This game is literally seizure inducing, it looks terrible, but hey what do you expect from a game made by Jaleco. Looking forward to the next episode and i cant wait for when you get to Bubble Ghost, F1 Race and Rolan's curse. Im guessing those games are coming up soon.

Is that US box art LITERALLY the worst video game box art of all time? It's a contender at least. Makes the Mega Man 1 art look like the Mona Lisa. Got a game about a kid ninja? Give him a hoodie, a reverse baseball cap and a pair of headphones because fuck it, Americans hate everything Japanese, even the ones buying Nintendo games.

Oh god, I remember when this came to 3DS VC. It was before a horrible and long drought of VC games so I almost bought it out of desperation before hearing how horribly poopy it was with all sorts of bugs, awful music and boring gameplay. I still glare at the sight of this game and having played it on the (Equally awful) Retro bit Generations last year I'm glad I skipped it

i Know it from the Arcades in Denmark :D it was Cald Ninja Kid ;D i was a Litel Girl That cot barely rich the controls :) But the Cut Ninja whit the Chut hit Nois, Stuck whit me :D .
