Dimensions are different because of the soft parts - bumpers and cladding. That doesn't change the space you get for 3rd row.

Your video is great. Thanks for the detailed comparison. A small correction. The body of Ertiga and XL6 is one and the same. The size difference comes only because of Bumpers, Claddings and Roof Rails. Since you didn't slide and recline the seat of 2nd row the same way you did it to Ertiga, it's looking spacious but interior length is exactly the same. Please take care of it. Thanks.

If 5 adults are traveling, then one has to go to third row in XL6 but they can easily manage in two rows of ertiga.

In the Ertiga you reclined the second row backrest and in the XL 6 you didn't recline the second row back rest angle that's the reason you got more space in the 3rd row of the XL 6. Space wise both Ertiga and XL 6 are ditto the same dimensions change due to the cladding, bumpers and roof rails, that's all. Only features for which Nexa is charging Rs 3L premium is ventilated front seats, 360 deg camera and leatherette seat cover and second row captain seats and LED head and tail lamps. That's rather steep even by Maruti/Nexa standards... Best would be to go for the Ertiga and use the 3L elsewhere or on accessories and plush seats.

The 2nd row is spacious in xl6, so he could sit comfortably without adjusting. While in ertiga he had to adjust the seat in the 2nd row for his comfort.

XL6 Zeta (base model) starts where Ertiga ZXi+ ends...and XL6 Zeta is actually 5k cheaper. However he missed out on following major differences in top trims (He got the XL6 Alpha+ for comparison. The following are added features that he missed : 1. XL6 gets Tilt & Telescopic Steering adjustment (ertiga gets only tilt adjustment) 2. XL6 gets Side UV cut glasses (all 4) and front IR cut glasses. Some accessories were evident in ertiga ZXi in the video which are not a part of ex showroom Car....eg Rear Spoiler in Ertiga is not part of ZXi+. Actually, XL6 Zeta being slightly cheaper than top Ertiga ZXi+ but offers in addition: 1. Tilt + telescopic adjustment of steering 2. LED Head & Taillights, Quad Reflector Beam for Headlights, DRLs 3. Higher bonnet in XL6 (Higher by 98mm) along with better fitted faux skid plates. 4. Alloys on XL6 have better design (comparable to Alcazar) while also being 1 inch bigger.

Test drove XL6 3 days ago. Quite underpowered and AC not much effective. In fact, Grand Vitara was much more enjoyable and fun. Same goes for Fronx (Turbo) except for the fact that windscreen and window area is quiet less
