You are the only channel elobrately criticising unjustified price hike of maruti and undeveloped facilities especially in safety. Most channels are mouth pieces of maruti, still appreciating xl6. In both xl6 and kia, options like ventilated seats, type pressure monitor and 360-degree camera are available only in the top end models . XL6 ALPHA PLUS and kia carens luxury on road price is approximately 15 lakhs and 19 lakhs for petrol variant. Kia carens premium and prestige variants not even have basic features like alloy wheels, push start, automatic AC, led lights and r16 tires, but which is covered in xl6 zeta variant. Everybody talking good about kia carens features, but which model carries that feature and what is the price of that model matters. Also kia carens petrol variants claims Arai of 15km/litre, but reality mileage of kia and Hyundai petrol variants are very less. Even though the price hike of maruti is not justifiable, still it's in the category of lesser price

I booked Carens this February, at that time I got 6-7 months waiting. I got fed up and went to maruti showroom and booked ertiga, assuming facelift will give something new. After seeing ertiga new prices and no new features. I’m holding onto my Caren’s booking. KIA told none of their customers are cancelling their booking after price hike. Still a value MPV

Your 6 seater and 7 seater is the very important point for us not to select xl6 and went with carens.. Very valid points though Maruti tried to bring few changes and its appreciable (15yr loyal maruti user sir, மனசு வரல டைரக்ட் திட்டறதுக்கு).

xl6 zeta has cruise control, alloy wheels, rear wipers climate control keyless entry push start For 13.64. Carens pretige is 12.85. Btw no automatic in carens. Without cruise control same in ertiga is even less for 12.8. Etiga also offers automatic. You can compare prestige with vxi ertiga that is 10.9+10k for infotainment system. Maruti has clearly targeted only these two variants.

I have pre-booked Carens on Jan 14th (day 1) - Silver luxary MT. I have waited till date and cancelled (not valued customer who booked even not seen the car lively) as no update on delivery. Now booked xl6 at same day of launch and cancelled today after seeing this video!. Decided to wait for couple of years atleast and no new cars for now!!!

I think the alpha plus trim has to be compared with the prestige plus turbo of carens. Carens prestige plus pros 1. Curtain airbags 2. Better infotainment 3. Hill decent control 4. Rear AC XL6 advantages 1. Proven engine and gear box 2. Ventilated seats 3. 360 degree camera The XL6 is approximately 30 K less on road. So, I would definitely buy it as long term reliability of turbo petrols and DCT gearboxes are unknown.

Would you suggest XL6 Zeta AT which comes around 16L on road for automatic buyers? Because some of us have max 15 to 16L budget and it cannot be extended to 18.5L to buy kia carens. If you can make this point clear to your viewers it would be a great help. I had shortlisted Skoda slavia manual mid variant which comes around same 16L but XL6 AT within 16L AT is tempting. Please suggest whether I should go with XL6 zeta AT or Slavia mid variant. Request you to clear this point since the zeta AT is missed in your discussion. 9:22 :-) The worst part is people cancelled the kia carens after carens price increase , waited for Eritiga and disappointed. i took carens 6 MT diesel because @motowagon recommended strongly on that engine. Drove the car in city limit bumper to bumper , very easy to maneuvering.

There will be no big difference in mileage for sure...go for carens... enjoy the premium feel of exterior and interiors. Infact nowadays suzuki's service cost is higher than Hyundai and kia

I too agree the criticism on the 2022 XL6. But, I really do not know whether Carens will outsell the new Ertiga and new XL6 despite the price hike. - Carens Luxury Plus 7 Seater Diesel Auto Owner. For the Base price of XL6, one can buy the Carens premium variant with diesel powertrain / Turbo Petrol and can add an infotainment system and remote keylock later. In the security front, the Carens got itself covered and even the Base variant looks as good as the top variant in the outside and I'd say it's not bad in the inside either. The Prestige variant is just good for most people and they have the option to choose 3 power trains. so, Kia really aced the competition in the MPV segment. But, the sales numbers might still shift towards Maruti Suzuki.

But when you compare top end variant between two, it shows 3 to 4 lakhs diff in cost. I mean lesser in XL6. Kia carens crossing 20 lakhs. So rate diff wise, I feel feature less is justifiable on XL6

i agree xl6 is priced high. but if you need an automatic xl6 zeta is 15.6 onroad manual 13.64. meanwhile for carens automatic starts at 17.71. the diffrence is huge ertiga even undercuts this. so still outside cities maruti has their upper hand. xl6 is still better than prestige and premium variants of carens clearly they are targeting only these variants and not the whole carens. Baleno was an generation update. this is a facelift.

Leave aside I drove xl6 even I travelled 3rd row comfort and 3rd row head room are totally uncomfortable.. In any way carens is the best

@@SathishKumar-pw9fu 3rd row in any car is like that. Depends how 2nd row is adjusted. In price sensitive market like india zeta has lot more than prestige. 2air bags and extra discs are the things. In that discs are not a big deal coz of weight. 6seat layout is problem zxi plus ertiga fills that too. Yes cruise is in after market but will never trust those Chinese copies. Only thing I see a plus is extra gear in an fully loaded mpv is plus. No automatic for na engine in carens. For 70k zeta and 50k more ertiga if brought in cash even the interest will even out given the waiting period. And more vfm to me. I don't think how long carens is going to have that engine to.

Guys, XL6 is not an MPV (at least from my perspective) the reason being there is a big gap in the market for an SUV with 7 seaters around 10 to 12L range. Desirably with 4x4 and sun roof which is missing. Just like we say crossover, compact SUV etc. XL6 is having a placement in the market where there is a GAP. Those who don't want MPV and a premium SUV but need a 7 seater SUV less than 12L is where XL6 is close.

Hi Bro, which one you can suggest Ertiga Vxi or kia Carens Premium 7 . My only concern with Kia is their service centers , nearest showroom is 80kms from my hometown .

Price is hugely increased. Last yr april i bought xl6 zeta variant for 9.84 lakh ex showroom but within 1 yr the price is 11.3 lakh is not value for money car. Within 1 yr 1.5 lakh price increased in ex showroom and road tax now is 16% when exshowroom price crossed 10lakh . So onroad more then2 lakh price increased within 1yr which is not value for money car.

Bro I booked xl6 on Feb month now new facelift XL6 zeta model released and price increased 1.30Las but only 4 airbag, 16 alloy wheel, ESP, Hill hold assistance added still old info system, no reverse parking camera but same price we will get ertiga zxi + with more features please suggest me I completely confused

Sir Ertiga zxi+ has no major extra features except leather wrapped steering auto folding side mirrors XL6 has all LED lights ,all black interiors,better 16 inch wheels ,roof rails . If you are ok with 6 seats go for XL6 zeta blindly ,if you really want 7 seats go for ertiga
