Considering safety package I will prefer i20 Active SX which includes High Strength Low Alloy Steel chassis and Body which increases weight by 20% to 30% than Maruti S Cross. The steel used in i20 is having 550 MPa yield strength. I will feel safe in i20 Active SX rather than S Cross top model.

i20's suspension is very stiff. It's ride quality is no where near to that of S-Cross. With bigger dimensions S-Cross is more roomy and feels more comfortable because of wider windows. In terms of driving pleasure no other crossovers or even SUVs have beaten S-Cross 1.6 litre diesel. Need I say more? Please do comparison which really does matter.

I think Maruti-Suzuki known for its petrol engine...remember maruti suzuki arrived in india with petrol in 80s...remember old segments of maruti-suzuki like Esteem,old baleno,gypsee...all are in petrol...maruti came with diesel after a long time of its arrival..,with segments like Zen or swift..,Maruti Suzuki has great mastery in petrol engine there is no dought about it...but in diesel maruti suzuki perfectly said that we used fiat diesel engine now a days with some of our new segment like S-cross or Baleno...so my suggestion when u want to buy petrol segment...go for maruti always... but in diesel you have to think something with maruti...

Compare the price difference in top end versions of both models! with 1.2L of s cross alpha and 1.4 L of i20 active sx, there is more than 2 lakh difference! s cross being more costlier! can imagine the difference in price with s cross 1.6 L alpha

how can someone compare a 1.6l engine with 1.4l active i20 is much cheaper with its top varient cost same as s-cross base 1.3 engine.. elite i20 looks better, have more power then 1.3l s-cross. i can't get why people are so baised with hyundai (in non comparison videos they say that handling of s-cross is bad compare to swift and ciaz. but comparing with hyundai it becomes better,, they can't accept hyundai is just better then maruti when it comes to overall car.
