Fun fact :- Maruti 800 is just a rebadge 5 door Suzuki Fronte originally named "Alto" even from the 1st Indian SS80 period, it got it's original Alto name only in it's 6th gen form which is the 1st gen "Alto" for India.

We clocked 2.5 lac plus kilometers with Zero breakdown history !! 18 years and we never stood in the roads waiting for a roadside assistance while my Škoda friends do it bi-weekly with their rapids and fabias .Salute to our unsung hero . We have got the IGNIS AGS returning back to Maruti Suzuki again ! Happy to see a podcast on the same day of our transition!

💪 Maruti Suzuki does make some really reliable cars, and the owners' stories say it all.
@mohamedsamir73429 ай бұрын
You rightly said about the reliability of Alto or in general Maruti cars. I bought my first car, Alto. At that time the other choice was Santro but I have not seem Santros running in Pithoragarh although the Altos were running around both as private cars as well as taxis carrying 5 people with their luggage happily from Almora to Pithoragarh. Truly it was reliable. The next car I bought was Swift Dzire Diesel. It was a gem of a car but unfortunately due to current pollution norms, I had to sell it off. Now I have ertiga diesel which is again a gem of a 7 seater

Maruti cars that made an impact - M800 (obviously) - people's car Omni - versatile as hell Zen - first sporty hatch Gypsy - mountain goat Esteem - G13BB madness Alto 1.1 VX - sleeper WagonR - practicality redefined Swift - successor to Zen, first proper fun car. Sx4 - all rounder Ritz - fun with practicality Ertiga - space packaging redefined Alto K10 - pocket rocket I know I missed many more cars. Maruti gets a lot of hate for obvious reasons, but the fact is majority of their cars are iconic.

Maruti should've got 1.1L in Alto not discounted cause it was it's original engine, not the smaller 0.8 F8D or F10A(not in India), etc. That's why Alto K10 existed to succeed over Alto 1.1L not 0.8L LX/Lxi versions.

That ordering from Japan thing is still prevalent with Maruti. In case of fully imported cars like Grand Vitara, Kizashi, GV XL7, etc you can order any part and Maruti will import that part from Japan. Even for long discontinued cars like Esteem, SB308, etc you can order any part including body panels. It will take 3-4 months, as Maruti produces these discontinued parts on basis of orders received, but still it's such a great thing that they're offering a service like this. Also no matter if you own a M800, Omni or Grand Vitara, the service center treats everyone equally. This kind of support is only offered by Maruti Suzuki.
