Would've still totally been fine with playing it. Loved the 2099 series. Feel the same about the cancelled Daredevil game that was set to come out on the PS2. You can still find the trailers for it on KZbin.

Wow, gotta say, I'm amazed by this video. I'm a huge fan of the Marvel 2099 series (mostly the ideas and concepts it had) and it would have been interesting to see what would've happened if this game was finished and released. I honestly think Marvel 2099 has so much to offer in terms of concept, for games, comics and maybe even film, but that's just cult following wishes I suppose haha. Also, I'm amazed at the amount of research gone into this video, finding out about all the playable demos and even the cause of its unrelease (is unrelease proper grammar?) is pretty in-depth stuff, so great job with that. Keep up the good work man, loving your stuff!

Plus if this game was to be Kickstart it would surpassed cyberpunk 2077 due to the fact that marvel 2099 has more of a 80s and modern style mix of cyberpunk theme though.

@@harpseal9234 That still might not have saved the imprint. If memory serves the imprint was shut down because Marvel fired an editor or something and the creators in charge of the 2099 comics decided to quit in protest. Marvel tried to save it by cutting it down to one book by a guy named Ben Raab but it didn't last very long after. I might be off though, maybe I'm misremembering. Edit: Oh, yeah. He actually talks about it in the video.

Imagine if Insomniac made a sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 but it’s basically a Maximum Carnage remake but with the art style, gameplay, and open-world of Marvel’s Spider-Man. In this game Harry Osborn has learned to control the Venom symbiote and teams up with Peter to fight a new symbiote, Carnage. Peter and Venom must work together to stop Carnage. This game will follow mostly the same story as Maximum Carnage. Behind the scenes, Norman Osborn would be preparing his Green Goblin suit which would set up Marvel’s Spider-Man 4. I know we’ll never get nothing like this but I thought it would be a good idea.

brotha I'm in my 40's, I remember in the freaking 90's having a videogame catalog where you could order games (pre online internet anything) by mail. Around the time of x-men vs. street fighter. I remember seeing Marvel 2099 listed and lost my mind. But l Iost the catalog and I didn't know the what company produced it so I couldn't look into it or get another one. I don't even know where I got the original. I waited and never heard about the game again except for this one picture in a video game magazine. It was a pic of Spiderman 2099 but it looked like the it was from the Capcom fighting game only in a 2099 skin. Naturally I assumed Capcom was producing a 2099 Fighting game which gave me a video game geek erection (you can't unread that hahahahahaha!) for months trying to find info on the game but it vanished. Those were the only 2 times I heard anything on the game. Thanks for the video, proves I wasn't imagining the it.

Wow, I was looking for more information on this game around until those times ago, until you did the video about this game, and frankly speaking I think it's just that same thing you have about the game itself, but who knows someday one of developers of the game find some file of some phase and release this phase to give us a play, but about the quality of the game as it was getting, I get half divided if it was going to be good or bad, Maybe it could be good yes by his proposal but what leaves me with the flea behind the ear is the execution.

in all honesty it would have probably been pretty bad :( it would have been fun if it was done with pixel art but that trope to do 3d sidescrollers at the time was god awful lol. But i get that i was a lot easier to do it that way not to mention cheaper.
