I remember enjoying the absolute hell out of Iron Man 1's game. It just felt good to blow shit up and fly around. Loved the upgrade system, loved the suit choice. Really hope we get the Iron Man game we deserve from the guys who did the Dead Space remake.

I agree whole-heartedly! 😃 I bought his stuff fresh off the spinner racks back in the day & am not as prolific on social media so I never got around to it but I always want to say to Rob before the years slip away that he should charge into his critics head-on & take on a fully Picasso-esque neo-cubic form based on his hyper-stylizations 😎 if I don't get to it soon, can someone please go put that bug in his ear for me? Thank you 😄

Not necessarily MCU, but Marvel Ultimate Alliance is the greatest Marvel game ever created. Just a quick shout out for the people that never played it.

Incredible Hulk is by far the best MCU game. And then he never got a movie after 2008 Edit: Ironman’s game was okay ig, but Cap’s and Thor’s I don’t even remember actually existing. Like they feel like straight-to-DS games

8:07 it looks better but that torso is still absolutely ridiculous, I'm not sold on it being "technically correct". The jim lee batman is not comparable either because the depth of the ribcage and torso protrusion level isn't insane like it is in the cap piece.

I’m italian and I love drawing, comics and art. I’m a fan of hyper realism but IMHO Rob Liefeld should be recognized as an innovator in the world of American comics for redefining the visual language of superheroes in the ’90s. His bold, exaggerated art style broke traditional norms, making characters more dynamic and larger-than-life. Liefeld’s co-creation of Deadpool and Cable introduced complex, iconic figures that remain fan favorites today. Despite criticism, his impact on comic book storytelling and his role in founding Image Comics helped revolutionize the industry, giving creators more freedom and control over their work.

@MrInferno91Күн бұрын
@2007hondaaccord no it is not, it is stupid genre made up by corporate, as stupid as search action, and movement shooter. Its metroidvania, its platformer, and its hack n slash, the other genre is action adventure. Stop defending BS
@2007hondaaccordКүн бұрын
@ character action and hack n slash are interchangeable even though hack n slash is the better name
@MrInferno9117 сағат бұрын
@2007hondaaccord no it is not. Any every game features you playing as characters or one. It makes no GD sense. Action adventure would be the better term or beat em up if it is only fisticuffs style. Stop defending the companies, they DONT care about you, they are they strippers of the gaming industry the big ones

Rob's issue , weirdly enough, is he NEEDS a editor standing over him cracking the whip. He just can not do deadlines. See: his early image issues. As soon as he went indy, he kept falling behind on schedule...

Jim Lee, Todd McFarlane, Whilce Portacio, Marc Silvestri, Greg Capullo, Erik Larsen and many more were leagues above Rob Liefeld. If it wasn't for Deadpool nobody would ever mention this guy in the same conversation with the rest I've listed. There's very little redeeming qualities to his art at all!

Rob teaches us a valid lesson. That you dont have to be the best to become successful. He was a dedicated devoted comic artist who simply loved drawing characters, and was happy to sign off his work for publishing. How many talented artists never made it because they didnt have the fire in their belly nor silence the inner critic that tells them they're not good enough.

I got into this universe in 2017, and I loved X-Men 97. The only continuity error this universe has is the President Of The United States being that unnamed female president and Senator Kelly in X-Men but having Bill Clinton as President in Fantastic 4 and Iron Man

Difference between this Spot and 2023 Spot, his wife loved him in 1994. Anyone get become villain when alone and ridiculed long enough... Even in movies like Prometheus, when Holloway constatnly mocks and belittles David, people thought they are better than Holloway, but the truth is that most of us are just like him, we are Hollow-all the Way and this is why we have villains... Merry Christmas🎄

Man what a great comparison, didn’t know of Rob till now as a new comic reader, but I definitely know of Kurt lol. Great video though!
@Rorschach00318 күн бұрын
I wouldn't say Rob is the Kurt Cobain of comics. He's more like the Fred Durst or Ultimate Warrior of comics. See, when you think of the 90s. you'll probably remember Kurt Cobain and Stone Cold Steve Austin but if I asked wtf was popular and extremely marketable at the time? Yeah it's Limp Bizkit and the Ultimate Warrior. Rob's popularity is more indicative of what American 90s culture was going through. He didn't intentionally aim for these demographics, it's more that his style was what popculture was really into at the time. Not for their artistic merrit or craft but because it was different and rebellious. "Imagine if superheroes were more like government task forces and celebrity mercenaries who snarled and killed! Not like those wimps over at Marvel and DC" I would say Alan Moore is more fitting a title of the Kurt Cobain of comics. Why? You gotta remember that grunge came into popularity in the late 80s and early 90s, that's around the time Moore and Miller released Watchmen and Dark Knight Returns respectively. They were the primary influences for a mature audience to get into comics and paved the way for superheroes to be more violent and edgy. You know what took the place of grunge in the mid-90s? NU METAL! Linkin Park, Korn, Slipknot, and of course: Limp Bizkit.
