There was a time i wouldn't have viewed this. I identified as a gay man for most of my life. I'm in my mid sixties now. I accepted the gay label because i heard that if a person has same sex attraction then they are gay. So i defined myself and wore a sign around my neck with im gay written on it. My life as a gay man was miserable to be honest. I never met or connected with anyone in a meaningful loving way. The lifestyle that I did follow was unhealthy. My story is i developed an issue with alcohol. I hit a rock bottom eight years ago. I turned my life over to god and surrendered . The best thing that i have ever done. No more misery. I have repented for my sins. It's locked in for me , I'm not going back to my old past. I wouldn't want to. I've found something that works for me , in that God keeps me clean and sober and has given me peace of mind. I hand over now. I give thanks to the lord everyday. 🙏 I listen to the guests on your channel today. My back isn't turned.

So, Brothers, this is so Amazing! I'm not kidding when I say that these are some of the things that that the LORD has shown me over the years! I get excited that water freezes from the top down so that aquatic life remains. I get excited that the LORD desires none to be lost and has established the stars in the heavens that we can find our way in the physical world!! To HIM be all the Glory, since forever and for ever.

Listened to this twice and my husband. So blessed and encouraged. New International Version When you walk, they will guide you; when you sleep, they will watch over you; when you awake, they will speak to you. All of the above is so true regarding the bible. Proverbs 6 v 22. When you spend time reading the bible, not out of duty, but out of delight, you are encouraged, filled with hope, challenged and the more you read the more you want to read and are filled with the awareness of God's never ending love

Wow, wow, wow. I almost didn't watch this video. Praise God for this interview. I have so little fellowship with people who seek the Lord with all their hearts. This is so wonderful for me. Thank You. P.S. I think of God as being "ALL HEART." When you think about it, we exist because God desires the requitement of love.

Just bought the book; looking forward to it, thank you for this interview. The world needs to know how great our God is! When we make Him small we are big and think all He does is to serve us. We are happiest and the most fulfilled when we are small, humbled before such majesty and splendor!! I pray the world doesn’t just get the tag ‘Christian’ but learns this awesome fear of the Lord!! All praise is due to Him!! Glory to God in the Highest!!

What God declares the believing heart confesses without the need of further proof. AND God's Words and His sayings, will change your life. God's steadfast love is forever, in all generatioins unto eternity. The greatness of God is beyond what we can think, but by the Holy Spirit He will make His greatness known to our hearts - it will be a time of speechlessness with awe.

Thaddeus makes such an awesome point in Galatians 5:22-23... it doesn't say "the fruit of Becket" or "the fruit of Thaddeus"... its the fruit of the Holy Spirit - its His's production of love, kindness, etc. in each of us!

This book on reviving our joy in the Lord certainly sounds exactly what we all could use in these turbulent days. John Eldredge also wrote a book that highlights God’s wonderful qualities to counter the stereotypes of a mean or harsh god. His book was titled “Beautiful Outlaw” which I have read and highly recommend also. And he is coming out with a book that might well be the sequel for both of these books designed to remind us of Gods wonderful qualities - it is a book on HOW to experience this loving and intimate relationship with Christ and it’s titled “Experiencing Jesus. Really.” We will need that too because in order for either of these books to really amount to more head-knowledge of God’s often overlooked and even astounding qualities - people do need to taste and see for themselves and experience the joy and beauty and not just read about it. Otherwise it’s like reading a travel brochure describing a wonderful holiday at the sea but never actually going to the sea. We must experience the joy that comes through intimacy and following God’s ways so that we truly can embrace sbd fully believe and buy into the truths revealed in such wonderful travel guides. I pray this book also describes some of the how and that the reading about the amazing wuakities if God are in fact the motivation or builds the interest and courage for readers to truly go on that journey, seek God with their whole and open heart - because that is what it takes. A half hearted attempt may not work. Scripture does say you will seek me and find me when you seek me with your whole heart.

If a person thinks they can describe a “yom” as something other than a usual day, they also have to redefine an “evening” and a “morning.”

This was a wonderful way to drive home in horrible traffic! I was lifted from the freeway to the throne room of our holy, holy, holy God! And some of the word origins and meanings blew me away! And the ideas! I had never thought about the fact that God created all the beauty of Creation before He made Adam and Eve! I also thought about how ugly everything is in atheistic societies: the buildings are bland and stark, the "art" is boring and functional, the food is scarce, people are miserable and scared. The idea that a life with God is dull and restrictive is ridiculous! Ps. 16:11 says: "You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore."

Well said Beckett!! The idea and reality of finding joy in obedience. It almost sounds like a contradiction because the world has taught us that obedience is the opppsite of fun. Kind of like how discipline also has come to mean something harsh and unpleasant. When discipline is from disciple and to be a disciple of something of someone good can and is a joy. Perhaps we need new words besides obedience and discipline to better convey what we are feeling and doing. For instance - I wish we could retitle the 10 commandments to something like the Lord’s 10 recommendations or something like friendly advice and wisdom from your loving dad. That changes everything - doesn’t it. Rather than thinking of some impersonal god who is a kill-joy restricting you from enjoying your life while you can - what if it were reframed so people understood it as - the supreme designer and person who cares about you most has these 10 guidelines to keep you safe and truly happy and free from worry and misery along your life’s journey through this fallen world before you get to graduate into even more joy in the kingdom of heaven. Now that makes the same 10 suggestions or strongly implored directives. A lot more palatable and frankly more true. This isn’t to rewrite any of the commandments - just to reframe our attitudes and approach to them so that people might taste and see that the Lord and his directives are in fact good. And I fact lead to actual happiness and joy. David wrote in the Palms “I run in the path of your commands - ( and then he gives the reason why) - because you have set my heart free. That is the joy that comes from obedience and discipleship and following Gods directives - right loving as defined by , oh say the God who made us and knows is intimately - turns out to be more joined when we follow his approach to life than our own. Co figure?! I thought we knew so much more than god?! Ha ha . Blessings to you Beckett.

“Mormons” (respectfully referred to as members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) 100% believe in The real Jesus Christ’s power to heal when people pray in His name for it. It is singularly faith in Him that leads to healing-not the religion to which one belongs. He is a God of miracles! With all praise, glory and honor to Him, I have witnessed this happen many times. Much love!

The LDS church is a very polytheistic religion. Christianity is a monotheistic religion. That is only one of the many differences between the LDS religion and Christianity. Mormonism is not a Christian denomination, not matter how much the leaders want it to be recently.

85 plus times in the New Testament alone, we are warned not to "fall away" - depart - apostatize. - "every branch IN ME that does not bear fruit will be cut off and cast into the fire." John 15:2. "Brethren, be careful of an evil hardened heart through the deception of sin and depart from the Living God." Hebrews 3:12 "If you continue in sin, your heart will become hard to the point that you cannot repent." Hebrews 6:5, 10:26. It is a great mystery that God gave us free will - the ability to choose. Paul admonished us to "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." Phil 2:12. How wonderful to Jesus must be the VOLITIONAL SURRENDER AND ADORATION of one who calls upon Him!!

Only Christ has the power to save. The belief that anyone can save oneself is in no way in keeping with the doctrine of “Mormons” (respectfully and accurately referred The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints). It is sad, and indeed exhausting, to the guest’s point, when anyone from any religion misunderstands this! That said, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints heed the Divine phrase, “If you love me keep my commandments.” It is only in that Spirit that we properly “do all we can do.”

@Davidwallen22 Most religions, including the LDS religion, are works-based religions. Christianity is based on the works of someone else, namely only the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ on Calvary. We can add NOTHING to what Jesus did for us of any merit. Christianity brings rest to the soul, Mormonism brings dependence on one’s good works, or anxiety and pressure to be better, especially how one looks to other church members.
@Davidwallen22
@Davidwallen22 2 күн бұрын
@ What you’re saying is simply not the doctrine of the church. One cannot walk away from reading the Bible without realizing works are important to God, but NOT because in themselves whatsoever they empower salvation. Christ alone has that power.

@@Davidwallen22 Davidwallen22 It may not be the expressed doctrine of the church, but it IS the lived experience of millions of LDS people. The pressure is very real.
