Marvel Champions: Cyclops Review: Is he an optic blast to play?

First comment! Love Cyclops and he revitalized my interest in the game! The any allies and full blast are awesome, though I wish he could optic blasts without attachments as that can sometimes whiff. All and all a very tactical experience playing him and he’s good in all aspects but the mutant protectors and pinned down combo is too good with his ally heavy decks.

Cyclops isn't a jerk ..at no times or sometimes ...he's probably in the top 3 leaders in marvel comics ...in no order cyclops , captain America, Mr fantastic...read his stories he's the most complex and coolest ..plus dudes powerful as hell

Whew, I disagree. Cyclops was a jerk in Avengers vs. Xmen. He was a jerk in the "civil war" in the school between him and Wolverine. He was a jerk post Averngers vs. Xmen. He was a jerk throughout much of Messiah complex.

I have played the base game of Marvel Champions once, I found it okay but wasn’t rushing to play again. However, I want to play as Cyclops and this expansion looks fun. What are the minimum products that I need to purchase to play this deck?

The core set and mutant genesis is enough to get you rollin. You could probably buy just the standard deck from the core as its all you really need to play any other expansion, minus a few things here and there.

He's not that fun. He can do 4 damage per turn, but it costs a minimum of 2 cards to charge his optic blast. So you're usually doing 1 ATK, which feels like a waste. Worse, he has only 1 ultimate card. For a damage-focused character, he feels very weak.
