I played Deadpool today twice, both games were 2 handed with X-23 and sadly, DP underperformed and X-23 had to carry, games were in Next Evolution campaign (expert villains/standard campaign), some more details: First game, against maruders, was with aggro X23 and Pool DP, it was modified pre-con, some thoughts: Pool's "second shadow of the past" is quite rough, I got it early and couldn't get rid of Dreadpool, you can't even use Vivian as Dreapool is Elite and dealing 3 damage every turn definitely delayed my progress, deck feels like it's full of gimmicks but lacks any consistency whatsoever, sure meta cards are really nice (you can heal allies, like Honey Badger) and using Plot Convenience you can give healing factor to X23, but you have explosive turn once every blue moon and lack sustainable reliability (very opposite to X-23), Pool resources are pretty terrible, I'd swap them for regular, DP wants to get damage and those resources are too often worth just 1, his support (the one for recovery) is really nice in multiplayer thou, also sonic rifle was very useful Second game was with protection X-23 and aggro DP against on the run (Riptide specifically, nasty but not the worst of the bunch), his deck was based around Toe to Toe/Counterattack/You'll Pay for that, it was better, still, X-23 was better, by the time his max hp reached the point it was safe to play all those cards, it was nearly over, in my opinion Spiderman (Peter) still holds the mantle of the best user of this combo X-23 is definetely way easier to figure out and to build while being very strong, I want to try some more DP decks, but atm he feels quite B-Tier which in the context of this cycle makes him probably the weakest, this is however after just 2 games

I am starting to feel the same way, especially Pink Pool. He can be inconsistent. If you take him out of the Pool aspect I think he gets better, how much so? Not sure on that yet!

@@NelsonAllOverCards I don't know when I am going to have time to check it but Justice might be ok, for solo something like Clear The Area/For Justice/Turn The Tide/Flow like a butterfly, just some good yellow cards, I think having Sonic Rifle in deck and under Armed to the teeth (you need side holster for this one) might be not bad idea, you can spam confuse like there is no tomorrow, you can easily confuse lock steady villain, in this deck it's even viable to use sonic rifle for damage (4 dmg with flow like b)

At the 36 min mark you play cards from your hand and then mulligan, when the text on the card says you can only mulligan if you haven't played cards in the phase.

I can't believe I'm commenting about this instead of anything Deadpool-related... but resolving "surging sands" involves adding a counter. So if you're supposed to "add 1 counter then resolve surging sands" you actually add 2 counters total :)

Pool cards are compatible with the grey : so we can do a Venompool ! i like playing with Symbiote Suit + Endurance + X-Force Recruit + front Line Specialist to play in one turn maximum effort and this card is fire : 52 damages in one turn ! Then go in AE and play Mutant education*3 + X-mansion, Weapon X, Moira

Great vid. But at the end when you finished him off with Bob, you already had 3 allies on the table, I think you can only play a maximum of 3 allies, no?

I don’t really remember this game, but you can always play more Allies - you just have to immediately discard one after you do. So if I played a fourth for a final blow I may have just not discarded one of my exhausted allies when I should have

YES!!! I've been waiting for this! I just posted a Deadpool gameplay against Magneto so when I saw you looking through the Magneto encounter deck for the standard/expert sets, I was hoping sooooo bad that you'd play him too lol. Sandman might be just as tough though with his indirect damage!

One quick thing: you killed a sand clone after your 2nd turn. Should have Surging Sands happen which would have put you closer to an acceleration token. ;)
