True Darwin: It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is most adaptable to change. In the struggle for survival, the fittest win out at the expense of their rivals because they succeed in adapting themselves best to their environment.

hiko seijuro It's clearly stated in the Executioner's Song storyline, that Apocalypse was awakened before the expected time during his period of hibernation, thus his powers were not even half restored. He was in an imperfect state as pointed by himself as he addressed his minions, the Dark Riders. During the Messiah War event (May through July 2009), now a fully restored Apocalypse, faces Stryfe in the future. Stryfe uses all his power concentrated in a direct and open psionic blast againts Apocalypse's body, who suffers NOT EVEN A SCRATCH! In despair, Stryfe exclaims: "F-father?!" as Apocalypse ominously replies: "I'm not your father. I'm your EXECUTIONER!" before SMASHING HIM LIKE HE WAS NOTHING. So no, neither Stryfe (who, let's remember, is not even contaminated by the Techno-organic virus unlike his "brother",who is incapacitated to use his psychic powers to the fullest) nor Cable are capable of facing a fully restored Apocalypse.

TheDrunkenHer0 Um, no, there was nothing wrong with the sentinels in the movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past. If they put the sentinels in the comics on film, they would look really fucking stupid. Comic continuity is kind of funny. Sometimes certain story points are sideways retconned when latter books contradict it. Selene predating Apocalypse has been, as fare as I can tell, been retconned as all books following have stated and shown Apocalypse to be the first mutant. Also that version of Selene backstory has never been brought up or mentioned again.

Marvel has the film rights to the Celestials, as we see the severed head of one in the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer. It serves as the home of The Collector I believe, not sure, but I think it become the Guardians' headquarters later on. My guess is that Fox have the film rights to the Shi'ar empire which means Apocalypse could likely get the technology from them, but I wont hold my breath..

@UnwittingSweater8 жыл бұрын
+O Face I may have missed it in this video but it didn't talk about him having the power to gain other mutant powers like in the film and especially not in a seremony where they have to lye on two tables so magic light touches both of them.... Magic light? Also just the look and feel of him. Look at the artwork then the character in the film. IMHO be should have been a cgi character. The body shape of colossus in deadpool looks more like the general shape of apocalypse than the actor in the film. Also be never changes his size in the real world. I was so looking forward to a giant hammer arm smashing beast into a wall :D ... instead he can make people's heads fall off which he never uses on the X-Men... Movies are always personal preference, I was just disappointed.
@UnwittingSweater8 жыл бұрын

I love Apocalypse. He is my favorite Middle Eastern Mutant Celestial villain. I belive the things he does in the comic books are for the greater good, I belive he is a misunderstood hero and he is looked as a villain because of his extreme ways of solving a problem but I belive he makes the world go forward by his way of thinking.
@mancamiatipoola8 жыл бұрын
+Official Filmilen Heh, this reminds me of something Two-Face used to say: "Either die as a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain". I think that Apocalypse is more like the elite entity group that we know as "Illuminati". The group at the top of the pyramid that controls the world today. They both have thousands of years of accumulated knowledge and attempt to steer humanity in some direction that we cannot really comprehend during our limited lifespans. Apocalypse has a long term agenda that is not apparent and has not been revealed yet. It goes far beyond controlling societies and pitting them against each other in a "survival of the fittest" kind of challenge. His master-plan probably stretches out for thousands of years. Would be interesting to see the character developed in a story streched across multiple time realities in which he enacts parts of his master plan.

You must excited he has joined the Xmen now. Kinda wish he was on a Team with Cable instead of Excalibur.

Apocalypse is NOT MIDDLE EASTERN he is AFRICAN in appearance & origin. If you look at his facial features he looks like a black man with his nose & lips & facial feauturea. He was born in Egypt during the time when pharaohs were black & the predominate original population are Black with dark skin, known as KEMET, which is in AFRICA NOT THE MIDDLE EAST. The middle east is NOT a country or a nation it is a sub saharian region in AFRICA g the native, predominate original people of Africa & the world itself are black melaninated African people.
@tompearce54185 ай бұрын
Apocalypse spent thousands of years trying to improve the human race through starting brutal wars intended to eliminate the weak. He's pretty much the opposite of the Emperor from Warhammer 40,000, who spent thousands of years trying to advance human technology and culture and eventually assumed totalitarian control of the entire species to end all wars within the race.
