Whilst MODOK isn’t my favourite villain, he has been in some of my favourite stories such as Jeph Lobe’s Hulk run and is the reason Thunderbolt Ross is able to turn into the Red Hulk.

MODOK in the new Antman movie is probably the same version of Darren Cross from the first one, but at the end it's revealed he was sent to the quantum realm, but improperly, so his body was all messed up so Kang put him in the chair. His brain probably stayed the same size comparative to the rest of his body which will be the reason why his head is so large

He’s played by the guy who played Yellowjacket, so this is their answer to what happened to him when he was shrunk to oblivion. It’s a great throw back to Scott’s origin.

This is probably my favourite video in a while. It's much more like the older videos that got me checking out the channel in the first place. This video is more informative and focused, instead of just being loud and saying things are amazing. Loved this video, and learned a lot about a character I knew VERY little about. Would absolutely love to see more videos that feel like this one. It just feels more passionate, which is great. Had me wanting more.

I think its the Darren Cross from Antman. When he imploded it actually shrunk him and deformed him while also sending him to the quantum realm. Kang then has him imprisoned, taken care of and gains info from him about Scott, Hank, Hope and Janet. Kang and Darren build the MODOK suit.

I remember reading the 3 comic run of Modok and the Hulk. Betty gets changed into the Harpy. Hulk flexes his muscles to break Modok's grip. Good memories.

hes a C-Lister who used like an A-lister though. he's in surprisingly a lot of media outside of the comics. he's a major role in tones of cartoons like the 90s Iron Man as a main sidekick to the Mandarine, he's a main role in Super hero squad where he's a main sidekick to Dr.Doom. he makes appearances in tones of other shows. he's even on the villain team in that Phinias and Fred Marvel crossover. not to mention having his own cartoon, being a playable character in Marvel vs Capcom 3 and being the main villain of that new Avengers video game. its actually insane how many things Marvel has put him in over the years

I think that when Darren Cross shrunk at the end of 'Ant-Man', his head didn't shrink as much as the rest of his body. Then Kang found him and gave him the tech to move around.

Since your doing a run of the smartest people lately, will you do an explanation video on The Leader? Since his potential intelligence can surpass Doom and Reed, I think he is slept on. All he needs is one good story to show how dangerous he can be. Of course I don’t know if his intelligence is affected by his emotions or if it’s just a matter of recording information. In which case he just needs to watch a long video of everything reed has ever done on like 20X speed and he should be as smart as reed is thanks to his computer like brain.

I actually have a favorite Modok story. In the early 1970s, there was an Iron Man storyline about a supervillain war . Modok had to fight the Claw and built himself a giant robot body to fight in. Modok lost and his giant robot body was smashed to bits .

I think The MODOK in ant man 3 was Darren cross from the first ant man movie. I think after he got sent to the quantum realm at the end of the first ant man movie kang might have found him and turned him into MODOK.

Your video seems to take Lee’s word for where and when the inspiration for Modok came from. More likely, Jack came up with the character and Lee reverse-engineered the “I came up with Modok because I wanted a weird scary villain,” origin story as he often did.

i don't think its an Alt reality version of him but the original from Antman 2 because he shrunk the way he did we thought he disintegrated he just shrunk unevenly and ended up in the Quantum realm where Kang found him, makes the doomsday chair he sits on and like Vader where its his life support as well as a weapon for him to utilise, that make sense to me as to how his body went into itself and the last thing to go was his head!

Cool video Rob. And any of us that have read comic books, knows this is true. MODOK unfortunately was not taken seriously and turned down into a comedic/insulting role. He was an absolute menace (back then) and it also related correctly with the Iron Man cartoon tv series from the 90s (yes, he was more a henchman of The Mandarin but still, he was a serious character) and for the very least, he was serious on that awful cartoon Avengers Assemble. Other than that and in comic books, not so. And let's hope the MCU MODOK is a serious one and not a mediocre slap of cheap-455 comedic form (although, personally I don't like the idea that they are recycling actors for other characters that will be the case of Darren Cross, but, that's for the very least of my worries looking in hindsight)

It wouldn't surprise me if it is Darren Cross as Modok in the MCU, looking at what we can see of him in the trailer though it doesn't really look like him to me, like I know his face and such is expanded because Modok, but even then it doesn't really look like him. Whatever the case, I'm excited to see what they do with Modok in the MCU. I don't know if I knew that Modok had died in the past. You learn something new every day I guess.
