I’ve been a long time watcher and I’ve never been so disappointed in you guys. The lack of embarrassment for cheating your way to the front of the line is surprising to say the least. Meanwhile those of us who were fairly waiting our turn ended up waiting four hours just to leave empty handed. At this point you’re just another group of scalpers.

I’m really sorry that happened to you, this same thing happened to a lot of people.I know it’s too late to fix, but it’s still insane what you had to do to still buy stuff. You had to basically go back to the main site by clicking on the secret lair logo, go back to cart and it would have your original order to complete. I almost just gave up but I had waited since nine am and it was 11:30 am till I got my turn, and was only able to get Wolverine and storm.

I checked out with my $700 order and got into the queue within 10 seconds after the order page was opened (1am Singapore time). After seeing the tech issues and possibly long queue, I went back to sleep 😂

I got pretty lucky today. Had everything ready around 8:50AM PST, made sure I was logged in and everything. Soon as 9:00 hit, saw the add to cart go active and checked out. That queue was definitely hell, but I waited through the bs, didn't even know about the whole line by-pass. I was out with my order confirmed by 10:43AM PST. Managed to get an order of the Heroic Everything Bundle, but my friends were not as lucky, so I'm splitting the non-foils with them.

Same - I logged in ahead of time at about 8:50, and I had a separate window with all of the products I wanted up and aligned so I could quickly CTRL+TAB and click. It probably took 2 seconds to get all of it added and for me to click "Go to cart" or whatever. The second I hit that, the little sound went off that usually signifies it's your turn (although I never saw the queue screen) and it took me to the checkout screen. However, nothing was in it. I waited and waited and nothing showed up, and then a window popped up and said that I had been disconnected automatically and that I needed to sign back in. I frantically opened a bunch of tabs trying to log out, log in, go to cart, etc. etc. I tried to go in as a guest, too, but the same thing kept happening. After about 20 minutes of that, it finally went to the cart populated with the items I selected - but after putting in my info, I couldn't "review" the order and proceed. I opened another tab, clicked the cart button, and finally I saw the queue screen where it said "it's your turn, queue paused." I sat there for another 20 or so minutes and finally it took me to the cart and I was able to pay and check out. That was right about 10:40ish PST. I saw people talking about the link in discord some minutes after, but it didn't occur to me that people were somehow cutting or skipping - it was all so messed up, and like I said - I had tried to go through the checkout process like 10 times before it worked, so I thought maybe that link was just taking you to the right checkout screen if it was your turn, but you were stuck for some reason. I just got super lucky, I guess, but the whole system was super fucked today. I know plenty of other people were just as quick on the draw as we were but wound up waiting hours. They really need to patch this shit up.

At this point, I support paying proxy print companies over any sales of SLs on TCG player. Amusingly all my local LGS’s allow proxies as well. I got my drop today FYI but single store fronts being able to sell 61+ copies of arcane signet need to lose their shirts on this though that’s unlikely.

I was there minute 1 had my cart ready and clicked checkout then it kicked me to the line. Waited 2 and a half hours. Got my cards thankfully but signets were gone which bummed me out. Total BS. Someone on a discord showed they got 31 signets for spending g $6,000+ by doing the line skip guest glitch. Very messy and accounts should be made to order not guests. That ruined it for many fans waiting in line. Sony does the same thing with PlayStation. You have to have a verified account in order to purchase. To cut down on bots

Man, the concept of "scalping" is such a tough thing. On the one hand, it sucks that there are people who can set up bots and shit to snatch huge handfuls of limited quantities of things and then sell them for like, 2x the price. On the other hand, clearly the product is underpriced if there are people willing to pay 2x the price. Any time you have a disparity in prices like that, you're going to have arbitrage. If they didn't sell at 2x the price on the secondary market, then scalpers wouldn't do it. Conversely, if the price WotC listed them for more closely matched the actual perceived value, that would also prevent scalpers. Of course, increasing the supply would address that as well...but knowing WotC, I'd expect more of the former than the latter. Although, it is in their best interest to hit it right on the money - that is, print and sell just the right amount and the maximum price they can move that particular volume. So really they should be adjusting both of those dials to try and capture the most money, which should theoretically reduce scalping. Or at least, that it was what my very limited understanding of economics suggests lol

Over 3 hours in line online and then when I was next, it told me I was timed out. So I got back in to buy 4 of the foil cards. Put then in my cart and then another over 3 hour wait for another time out. They owe me for my time. A line online is just pure stupidity. It is not a physical store so no lines should be expected. What an exceptional showcase of the new Secret Lair system and what Magic has become. 3+ hours in a queue although I checked out less than 15 seconds after it dropped, and didnt get a thing! And oh yeah, there were no restrictions in the amount of how many copies you could put in your basket, so scalpers' wet dream. A product designed in its core to appreciate the game, the artworks and the flavor of the TCG we all love has been transformed into a shameless moneygrab. Now, these little cardboard rectangles are nothing more than a way to make another quick buck every month on the income sheet for WotC. It has nothing to do with the underlying principle of a Secret Lair. I am just disappointed and sad that we seem to have lost an outlet for artists to express themselves and players to appreciate the game, and all for greed. Well, RIP Secret Lair. It was nice knowing you.

Are we sure that it actually allowed you to "skip" the line? I ask because I was (somehow) one of the first people in line. The moment that I hit "Proceed to Cart," it made the little *Ding* noise and took me to the login screen, then my cart - but my cart was empty. It then told me that it was disconnecting me and told me to log back in. I tried this over and over and the same thing happened, even when I tried to log in as a guest. At some point after about 20 min, I got to the cart and I could see the items in it and I could enter my address and credit card info, but I couldn't "Review order" to move forward. I had a few tabs open trying to find some way in, and finally I got to the queue screen (for the first time), and it said that the line was paused, but that it was my turn. It took another 20 minutes after the pause was lifted for me to actually get in and finalize my order. The point being that, although I had an early place in the queue, it took a lot longer for me to actually get to a checkout screen that worked. I wonder if I had clicked that link while struggling to check out, it would have taken me to the checkout screen, but not because it was skipping the line, but because it was my turn and I was otherwise stuck. So my thought is that perhaps there were a lot of people who actually had earlier places in line, but for one reason or another they were stuck in the queue. However, when they clicked the link, it took them to the cart to checkout like it actually should have. Yes, this altered the wait time for other people, but not because they were cutting, but because your original wait time was underestimated because it wasn't properly placing people into the checkout. This is, of course, just speculation. It's very possible that it was just a bug that they didn't account for, and that people were in fact moving ahead of people faster than they should have. I know that I also read that if you got there at like, 8:45 PST and added some other SL to your cart and went to checkout, you could be in the checkout "region" (for lack of a better term) way before the queue even began. Then, when the stuff went on sale, you could just add it all to your cart in a different tab, refresh your checkout tab, and boom - have all your stuff there without having to be in line at all.

I clicked on it the second it went live and clicked on non foil bundle. Waited till 315 and when checkout loaded for me it took the bundle off. After backing out and going back i had to select all of them seperately. Luckily they were still there bit low stock to checkout.

They don’t reprint secret lairs, that’s is one of the rules of secret lairs. Yes I’m sure there will be different versions of these characters but no, they will not reprint these exact cards that is a staple of secret lair itself

Are people going to be more mad at this debacle of a sale, or when they reprint the mechanically unique cards in their respective sets and people realize they could have waited. I suppose I could have clarified I meant with new art. But I would be absolutely shocked if the mechanically unique cards are not reprinted in their respective teams sets, or given commander decks.

@@Monkey_D._Elliott I got the full foil set and I don't care if they get reprinted as the same characters in an upcoming Avengers set I don't think they will be reprinted in the Spiderman set though. As long as they use unique art like Wizards said they'd do I'm fine with it.

I was in an hour early, logged into my wizards account ready counting down the time, had my order in 10-15 seconds in... got paused, then put into a 5 hour wait just to have what I put in my cart zeroed out and stolen by the bots that backed dored their way to the front of the line to order multiple copies for scalping.

Waited 4.5 hrs. only to find what I wanted to be sold out. I did manage to get a few: A Wolverine and Captain non-foil so I can't gripe as much as others who waited just as long and got screwed. But man, what really stings is ppl. skipping line while us fools sit there trying to remain patient.This was stressful and unltimately NOT worth it.

2:50 that happened to me! I was there right as the sale started along with my friend. We both took like 20 seconds to make pur carts and go to checkout. I was in queue for 3 hours and the arcane signets sold out when i was 20 minutes away from getting to check out. My friend’s queue was only 1 and half hours and he got the bonus card. It’s just unfair

i was there when the website swaped from swirls to the listings 1h before the sale and went diectly to the full bundle.once the hour hit the comming soon changed to a button and i pressed it and chose check out. it sent me to a more than 1h wait line that paused 9 mins into the wait then went back to more than a hour and down till like 24 mins and again to more than a hour and once again till it hit 1 min and sending me to checkout. once i hit checkout it said i was logged out and i thought i lost it, but i logged from the drop down menu and it simply left me in the pay page. so i secured mine at 3:03 EST time thats 2h and 3 mins after it opened even tho i was waiting for 1h on the product page waiting for the buy button. so a total of over 4hours(counting the time waiting in the purple swirl waiting for the site lol) I think it has a hassle specialy when u expected getting this during lunch break and basicly get it after leaving work.

I was in and had my cart ready and in line within 15 seconds. And I still didn’t get the signet. Waited 2 hours and 19 minutes. Confirmed my order at 1:19pm my time and they announced out of signets 1:26pm their time. Very disappointing.

Took me about 2.5 hours. As i was waiting the bundles and arcane signet sold out. Was lucky I got the three i wanted.
