Great overview! Here are the characters I would take: Characters: (10) Captain America, First Avenger (Steve Rogers) ---Captain America (Sam Wilson) - great alternative leader for more extract focused games as well as being solid under steve Hulk (Bruce Banner) - like you said one of the best attrition pieces in the game giving him more consistent results and access to his triggers seems very good Gwenpool (Gwendolyn Poole) - like you said she is a good mobile attacker Doctor Voodoo (Jericho Drumm) - I was surprised that he didn't make your list, making his builder more consistent and giving him easier access to sap seems really good along with everything else he brings Iron Man (Tony Stark) - like you said cheap piece that can provide good control Luke Cage (Luke Cage) - good tanky character with basically a 50/50 stagger on his builder, what is not to like Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff) - most taken for the cheap slot that fills that role but does have a few interesting trigger on two of her attacks Beta Ray Bill (Bill) - great all rounder that has triggers on all of his attacks ---Nick Fury (Nicholas J. Fury, Junior) - early extract shenanigans and leadership helps damage on the gainer

I want this ability with Ebony Maw. Lots of characters in this list like the leadership in conjunction with their own abilities but the very big elephant in the room is needing power for both and lots of the time you'll have to choose one or the other. Ebony Maw is never power starved and is a great control piece IF he hits his wilds.

I think the biggest T3 winners are Mysterio, Crystal, Hawkeye, and Luke Cage. Of course anyone w/sap power on their builder. Doc Strange and OG hulk are (imo) the biggest winners here. Some honorable mentions would be OG Spiderman (impact webbing), Ronan the Accuser, and Emma Frost.

Doctor Strange, Iron Fist, and Ulik are all characters I'm looking at under steve. More chances to push with Ulik, or put activated tokens on enemy characters with everyones spenders. They also don't have to much problem with power, so the leadership doesn't hurt them too much.

OG Doc Octopus, an underrated 3 cost which you can use the leadership so make a crit and get the spent power back straight away or make more wilds to get the double successes

Similar to Luke Cage, Moon Knight is also a 3-threat who can Stagger off of his builder! I've had some fun with him under M'Baku, but Cap here might be even better...

Great content as always Rich, liking your idea of OG Wolverine as many have said great sculpt and an excuse to get him on the table...also Immortal Hulk ensuring the Wild throw on his Builder might help make him a bit more consistent...although i agree with you OG Hulk is still my preference but using the IH model on the tabletop!

So as you said, we want someone who has a really insane trigger that needs a bit of help to get it off. My mind went straight to Supergiant, who has the best - and most difficult - trigger in the game. But I think Steve's leadership is probably still not enough to pull it off consistently, especially since it adds another power that she'll need to spend for a total of 9. Maybe better chances are Strange or Moon Knight, who only need 3 results that all include a hit anyways. Also Cosmic Ghost Rider, with his spender trigger, but like Supergiant I don't think Steve will be able to help much with that and he has no other benefit from it.

Hawkeye looks pretty good to me. Often has the power to spend for the extra damage and gives you the chance to hit the wild to give out shock or one of his other conditions. Quick draw also gives you the option to potentially use the leadership on your opponents turn if they trigger it.

I'd like to try Baron Helmut Zemo, to help get all three triggers on Adhesive X Pistol. I might even use Captain America, First Avenger to change a result to a skull to get the Stagger. Scarlet Witch is another fun one where you might change to skull.

Rich, glad to see you doing MCP stuff again. I think Domino would be a great character under the new Steve, much like Deadpool triggering rapid fire once each round for free is not bad, being able to trigger explosive on grenade bounce can be great, and stun on her lucky shot is icing on the cake.

Every Pierce character is basicly very good with the New Steve. Like for example X-23, Punisher and Logan… and if you want to kill..why not just Cosmic Ghost Rider. I hear hes bretty good at killin.

Once again, a nice video while waiting for the new core set. I'd like to field the New Captain America with M'Baku. For the builder, you can choose Pursuit, Push or Both depending on the situation. For the spender, it makes triggering Avalanche far easier.

I wanna include the core box Doc Oc as a candidate for the new Captain America. Between Flurry of Arms, Scientific Hubris, and Cap’s leadership ability, Doc Oc can generate an obscene amount of power from just a single attack.

Other than Wolverine, my favourite characters to run with this new Steve are Doc Oc for the wilds count as 2, Scarlett Witch for the skull condition action, and Doctor Voodoo for power burn. They are all great with this new leadership. So fun to build around!

I'm a big fan of this Cap having such a straightforward leadership. I'm always afraid with new releases that the characters will be overloaded or overcomplicated to differentiate them from previous versions, but Cap really is one that should stay simple in my opinion. It doesn't hurt that its powerful in addition to being easy to use, with some options for more complex teambuilding around it.

I'm extremely excited for this version of cap, I love that he helps my fight play style, Sam cap and gwenpool are definite takes for me, it will be nice to see wolverine played again, but one im super excited to run with him will be immortal hulk, to help make his builder throw more consistent

I really do like the twins. I have only played the one game with them under the new Steve but they cause so much chaos. Quicksilver stealing objectives and Whitch killing anything that gets close!

I love that original Wolverine becomes quite good under this Cap. Increasing trigger consistency boosts almost every character, but Wolverine's has that double combo with Best There Is... Winter Soldier can trigger his Rapid Fire more easily, and even og Daredevil is more fun to play when he's handing out stun consistently.

I like x23 with the new Steve Rogers personally, especially with her rerolls and her pierce. She's only a 3 threat but a very mobile one and easy to fit into any roster. Against Steve Rogers I love the OG MODOK though - your wilds count for nothing son!

The newest Steve is pretty darn exciting. I think you listed most I'd thought of, but Rogue and Voodoo could be good, and maybe Gambit - him being my biggest interest - but sadly, I'm still thinking power will hold him back. I'll try him out at some point.

Luke nice for the stagger, the new captain marvel because she has good tiggers in binary form, spider woman gets her conditions out, Thor gets his throw easier on his strike.

As soon as this Captain America was revealed I really wanted to play Luke Cage. I haven't ever gotten off his Stagger on his attack. But with new cap this should be so much more reliable.

War machine, being able to benefit from the double crit but reduce the amount of damage from it. Also, he has plenty of power, so getting the bleed trigger more often. Deadpool and Quicksilver were definitely on my list for the same reason as you said. Finally, ASM might actually be amazing and not mediocre. Momentum is a great trigger, and having more chances to get it off could make him viable.

I think Dr. Voodoo or Rogue with their sap power is going work well with the First Avenger as well, guaranteeing the sap pays for the leadership trigger and is just free damage at that point!

For me it's Thor as he's my favourite Marvel character and I feel he needs a little work to make him a real 5 threat. If not him then his brother in arms Beta Ray Bill, being able to get his triggers for all his attacks would make him even better than he already is. Corvous Glaive could also work well with Cap's leadership, being able to almost guarantee the flurry will help him melt opponents.

I'll always love the duo of Cap and Dr. Strange. It's just complete overkill with the defensive shenanigans that they can do. Really excited to try out OG Wolverine under new Steve, because I've always felt that he was a bit underrated.

In afilliation: Luke cage, hes already amazing, but a 45% chance to stagger on his builder for 1 power is ridiculous, and Dr Voodoo, his spender with 1 extra power does an extra 2 damage from the wild and doesn't generate power for 1 of them. Out of affiliation I like Crimson Dynamo, being able to almost guarantee shock on key targets while potentially shocking other characters and doing extra damage is always amazing. And lastly, anyone with Pierce, so x23, Apex, Logan, Killmonger who all gain pseudo 3 damage for 1 power if they missed their wild trigger initially.

Gambit must have been close to meet this list surely?!? ** The why all them wilds on the beam attack! Absolutely filthy Caps Leadership add a wild A little something extra add a wild All for 2 power guaranteeing 4 damage from just 2 Wild results 5 or 7 dice being thrown could be insane with maybe 5-8 damage depending on more wild results Max is incredible so perfect storm probably never going to happen but what I can see is 1 hit result 6 crits 😅 6 wilds on the crits maxiumum That’s a grand total after changing the only hit to a wild 20 damage!! Can any character even come close to that output or am I mad!!
