How often something sees play outside affiliation is a pretty bad evaluation of where something is on a tier list. It's definitely one metric to evaluate but it definitely isn't what defines where it belongs on a tier list.

In a game where splash picks are as important as they are, I do not agree. If a character is good in affiliation AND is being picked outside of affiliation, they are fundamentally better than someone who only sees play in affiliation

New player question. Why does every tier list put Beast in C and X23 in A or B, yet every streamed X-men game on TTS has Beast and not X23?

on her own, 23 is insanely good. beast becomes much better with the x men leadership with his large base and cover

I think you're underrating Dynamo a bit. In games I have played he just takes over the middle of the board with his beam and disruption field and the beam gainer just generates more power for the field.

same issue as vision, Es are getting less and less common. his slow movement is also very abusable. when those arent problems he is fantastic

Interesting take on alot of these characters. Some in the A class I don't use, and some of the E's I love. Was this list done as a whats competitive, or just your overall thoughts? Our local meta is very different and I just like knowing why people choose the ones they do. Thanks for posting the video.

The intention was a globally competetive tier list. Characters who shine regardless of affiliation are up top, and those who are very good but require synergistic roster building are closer to the middle. "Bottom tier" characters can still work, just need some extra love relatively.

if I was looking to get into this, what teams are the best? I was just going to get some to paint to display, but I know people that play this at a local club, so might be worth actually putting together a team. I was just gonna get Modok to paint for now as I love the Mini. is the webslingers pack any good for actually playing games with? Wish you could get an X-Men pack as well, but doesn't appear that you can.

X men affiliation box is coming iirc. Its worth looking through AMG's twitter for upcoming stuff. I would say play what you want. core box sets up avengers and cabal quite well with plenty of strong pieces and you can build from there. Both flavors of modok are quite fun

@@hyperviper9888 Thanks. I just dropped all my money on a nice Feizbo desk and Neatfi lamp, as well as a second generation red grass wet palette, so spent up for this month. I think next month I'm gonna buy a bunch of these minis though to give me a break from doing black power armour (Black Templars) definitely going to get Modok, as he looks so cool to paint. I really like the Thanos with his throne as well. I just want those 2 to display really though, but definitely want to look into making some good teams. My friend was playing with Thanos guys Promixa Midnight and her Brother (think it's her brother, the one that Black Widow half kills in the movie) he said they were really good... this was a while ago though.

@@hyperviper9888 for sure, I’m surprised by some of your takes on some models. I wasn’t sure if it was a local meta thing or not. I mean you guys definitely rated some models where the current meta has them but some of the models I was completely lost on where you rated them.

Honestly darkstar would be fine - winter guard is pretty deffensive affiliation, she helps with they lower stats. The thing is she is always power starved. The bear is a problem tho.

We are looking at these folks in their current state. Darkstar and the bear certainly have potential but right now theyre pretty bad

I want to try out Darkstsr in A Force. I think she could be a decent turret there with the power to also help protect the team.

ill hear you out. i love playing him but he gets demolished by many and is bery tactics expensive. also largely unaffiliated. mystique destroys him

@@hyperviper9888 busted is probably a stretch. But any list I run with gamma shelters includes Sinister. Activate him last turn 1 and first on turn 2. Almost always gets a 3 drop into play turn 3 with Cloning Banks, and if he doesn't it's because your opponent derailed their entire game plan to kill him.
