Doesn't need a twist, the torso swivels at the diaphragm. Also legends has basically never been able to implement a usable butterfly on these kind of torsos

This one is official, so that is a plus, but if you don't really care that much abt licensing, I'll go ahead and say, get the CT one. It is very weel done for a bootleg and honestly, a lot more bang for your buck, moral objections aside. This one I think I'll pass and wait for a more complete Marvel Legends in the future.

Looks really good but knew when they showed it the articulation was not going to be great definitely needed the reverse an crunch plus the could have plonked a ball joint at the ankle and make the ankle guard a floating peice.

I don't have either the new or old figure, but isn't the chest piece an overlay on the old one? Could that be modified to fit the new version to bulk him up and give him the port for the tentacles?

It is, but you’d have to take the limbs off to get the vest overlay off.

To me, there’s enough difference to warrant getting this newer version although I like the look of the Walgreens exclusive version better. However, for action posing the updated tech we have now is miles better. BTW, love the surprise at the end with the Who Crew 👀!! Thank you for the review mate! 👏👏👏

Overseas sellers have them available months early if you're willing to pay a premium for them, which for reviewers is made easier by the revenue they get by reviewing them early. A reviewer might pay three times normal retail but make ten times retail or more if they the video gets sufficient views.

Can I just say these were gifted to me by a close friend for Christmas. He did not pay no more than regular retail for these figures. My channel is tiny and I makes pennys from my videos it would be foolish to pay triple for figures. I only review figures I’m adding to my collection on this channel, it’s a hobby not my job. I’ve been on KZbin for years reviewing Legends and always been transparent about how I buy them. Literally anyone else can do this. Don’t believe the conspiracies in the comments lol 🙏🏻

Man...I don't know bout the sculpt and paint being better on the newer version...think the older one looks better (1st glance at both of em side by side) If the articulation was an issue for the older one then this newer one may be better on that 1 point plus the extra hands...those 2 points maybe give new one an edge

The only figure in the wave worth getting and he looks like a downgrade from the last one. I did a hip mod on my Walgreens version with hips on an extra back in black Deadpool I had so he’d have modern hip articulation. I think I’ll still prefer that one to this new one. I also don’t like either headsculpt on the new one. The unmasked doesn’t look like Eddie to me and the regular head looks like how the cartoon agent venom looked. Doesn’t look as intimidating as the old one.

Another basic, uninspiring and undersized figure, made with no love by Hasbro. Yes, the old one is dated, but at least it described the character much better. No butterflies, no waist and calf swivel on a character that is supposed to be agile. And what's up with those straps on his right leg, serving no purpose?

In terms of looks the original one looks better. The new agent venom has a big ass head and he doesn't look heroic. Very small chest with no v taper at all. He doesn't have shape to him. And if Agent venom is supposed to look armored he sure doesn't look that way. Also the legs are an issue in that the lower leg looks very long

This looks good and will replace the older one for me. Think I would have liked a few more weapons. I think the animated head looks better on that body. I also see us getting two reissues of this one , the red spider for Thunderbolts and Agent Anti-Venom will definitely be on this body. Bet the Thunderbolt one is a Target exclusive at some point .

I was going to ask if the older AV1 head swaps onto the new body, but if Flash fits v1, then v1 head should fit v2, right? Walgreens/v1: +bigger/bulkier figure +symbiote arms pack +better head, imo -gummy limbs on mine. Even yours has trouble standing. -limited articulation, as you note the forearm/hands are one piece. SML/v2: -Skinnier body (although wasn’t there another Agent Venom? Was Gargan/Scorpion briefly posing as AV, too?) -no back hole -wider eye lines +guns (even tho I don’t use them much, even for Classified) +improved joints +unmasked Flash head I think I’m going to use that Flash head for a Classified Chuckles custom, as I never got the exclusive one. (Some see Eckhart, I see Jamie Lannister…or maybe Prince Charming from Shrek. 🧐😂) I grabbed that Space Venom+Mania 2pk for cheap at Planet Overstock. I missed the Target clearance, so snatched her up when I saw her. I have better luck there than I do at Ross, and I’ve had access to them, longer!

Great job, Dan! Looks kind of okay, but is literally leagues away from the Amazing Yamaguchi (or CT Toys if you want a budget option). Should definitely have been a deluxe to give him a chance of coming close. He needs all the articulation, Venomised arm accessories and weapons they can pack-in to have a chance of competing. Sadly if I pick this one up, it will only be for the unmasked head.
