The color scheme on the Wolverine is based on the original Secret Wars figure from back in the 80's. I can't wait to get my CT Toys Brown Suit Wolverine, though! It's in transit as I type this!

The reason for the broken shield, in the Secret Wars series Cap's shield is broken in battle and he picks up all the pieces and in the last issue he repairs it with alien tech. The reason for the odd wing issue is artwork from the series as Cap is in a fighting pose and they are trying to replicate it in this figure

I think Dan Yun over at Hasbro ML team said there is going to be an all- new Cap for 2025. Hopefully it will have that inverted ab crunch and mid-torso cut with butterfly joints.

The colors of that Wolverine is how he was colored not just in Secret Wars, but also in the 80s in general. Wolverine's brown suit in the 80s had a reddish shade to it compared to the full-on brown we see nowadays, and that reddish brown is the one I've been looking for in a brown suit Wolverine. Even the thin brown lining on the torso, that's how Wolverine was drawn in some instances back then, depending on the artist.

the thin brown stripe on wolvie matches the original secret wars figure, just glad they didnt go with the snap on claws LOL. the broken shield matches what happens in the comic.i guess hasbro figures we have a few whole shields :) the original cap from the 80s didnt even have a regular shield. i ruined a clash of the titans perseus shield making it and still regret that .. the wings are making me crazy though ... i loved these figures as a kid and had almost all of both waves., so excited to see them again. id suggest reading the comic youll enjoy it

Don't know if it's the difference in lighting between your video set up and Hasbro's but the Secret Wars Wolverine seemed a lot closer to red than brown on the figure when it was revealed. I *almost* passed on it but have been missing a brown-suited Wolverine in my collection for years and getting an older Marvel Legends version on secondary market has been waaaayyy too expensive to bother with considering for me.

The Wolverine design is based off of the 80s Secret Wars toyline version, hence why the line is thin and the colors are a bit different.

I think mafex captain america is one of the worst mafex figures that have ever come out in terms of design, maybe the worst. I prefer Legends.

This wave is a letdown for me. New black Spidey, no toe joints. New Captain America, no round shield. No butterfly joints. New Wolverine. No angry expression. Really sick of Habro insisting on packing Wolverine with no angry heads. I understand the lenticular shield is a callback to the original line but I’d rather they do away with it completely and use that plastic/budget on more accessories or head sculpts.
