While not in need of an update I REALLY hope Mysterio is true. It's a basic mostly unchanged look but the minimal armor and purple cape and perfect fishbowl shape would absolutely make him a worthy upgrade. I just PRAY we get an alternate head accessory. I'll take blonde ponytail Quentin Beck or even better: a cracked fishbowl that got damaged from Spiderman punching him in the face

I’m all for re-releases. The more accessible the line is, the more collectors there will be, and the more collectors there are, the more new figures there will be. I’ll buy as many Havoks and Polari as they care to release. Classic Adam Warlock and Triton are in my top ten most wanted. Werewolf by Night is a welcome addition. We could use an updated modern comic accurate Carol Danvers (as Captain Marvel). I’m always happy to get more X-Men 97 figures.

Very interesting listings . One thing I've learned about leaks is no one figure is usually not ever by it's lonesome. its usually accompanied by some more single carded figures like its usually part of a wave or program of some kind , so for example that Mysterio is probably part of a single carded animated spiderman wave or a retro card spider wave if i had to guess

That retro comic card Mysterio is excellent and goes for high markups on the secondary market. They could be releasing it again in the same fashion they did with retro Kingpin, which was also crazy expensive on the secondary market. I am late to the game so I am definitely excited for rerelease of Polairs/Havok and Strong Guy.

ROM, Adam Warlock and Werewolf by Night! Three classic comic book characters from the 70s and 80s who will finally get their updated action figures!!!

You know what's weird? I'll probably get Rom because he's a cool looking character and I did read the comic for awhile. But one of my gripes with these odd releases is that we only get one character from the title. For example, Ikaris. One of my Top 5 Marvel heroes, but it sucks if we never get the rest of the Eternals. He's just sorta floating out there with no place to belong to on the shelf. Same for Crystar. Ok, cool looking character (though I never read the comic, or maybe just a few issues). I'd probably buy Crystar if there was some indication that they'd release other characters from the title. But not if they're not going to. And now Rom. Can we get some Dire Wraiths or other characters from the title? Alone, he really doesn't fit anywhere. These characters really never meshed much with the greater Marvel Universe, so it sorta sucks to get just one character from the title.

The Carol Danvers/Huntress could be 2 figures, Danvers in her classic Ms. Marvel costume from Ms. Marvel #1 and the Huntress could be Mockingbird. Bobbi Moorse first appearance as a costumed character was Mavel Team -Up and she was called Huntress. At the end of the story she was injured and when she returned, she was Mocking Bird as we now know her.

Thank you very much for the "speculative leaks", Dave! Even if some of it doesn't come true, it was still quite interesting, especially with your comments. As for myself, there's nothing really in there that I was particularly excited about, nothing I want to get as soon as it releases (okay, maybe a brown suit Wolverine if it's any good). Seems like a majority of remakes, reissues and characters we already have in one form or other. I do not like that they seem to lock certain new characters behind two-packs, Triton and Champion come to mind, as Hasbro tends to do. I would have preferred a Gorgon and Triton two-pack to kind of complete the Inhumans royal family.

I agree. I complain constantly about Hasbro's fetish for remakes of 3 characters (Iron Man, Spiderman and Wolverine). But as I mentioned in another post, it would have been absolutely awesome (and logical, which is why Hasbro isn't doing it) to release a Blackbolt/Maximus 2-pack and a Triton/Gorgon 2-pack. Everyone's happy then because we get the entire Inhumans line-up. But since they released Crystal and Lockjaw and Karnak and now we seem to have a Triton coming and a redone Blackbolt, maybe we'll also get a Maximus and Gorgon shortly after. I saw an interview with Dan Yun where he mentioned that Hasbro knows people want to complete teams, and hinted that they're listening to that. So fingers crossed! Now if we can only get a classic Banshee upgrade, an original Wonderman, and Mantis and Swordsman, my Avengers and X-Men teams will be complete. Except for much wanted villains like Graviton and Mesmero.

For example, if Baron Zemo had come with say a WWII Baron von Strucker, or if they'd paired Champion with one of the Elders of the Universe, like the Gardener, Grandmaster, or best of all the Collector. Or if they release a Mantis/Swordsman 2- pack. That to me would make sense.

I'm genuinely interested in the behind the scenes factors that go into a re-release of a figure. We saw it with Magik recently and Professor X in the hover chair. How complicated is it to re-release a figure? It seems like its a no brainer as you dont have to do any updates whatsoever and if you time them correctly, you could potentially never run out of figures to sell. So why then does it seem like a re-release is so rare and it's only for certain figures rather than waves?

x men 97 being the success it was, you can see Hasbro bringing in characters that featured in either the original series or the 97 series as much as possible, on top of that they have already invested in the tooling so, that’s a win. Case in point, strong guy, just like venompool, already tooled. pierson ally i’m a fan of the updated releases. I need a superskrull, i don’t have any x force, but i could start. the 97 wave needs Cable, Bastion, maybe another Beast (headsculpt) Jubilee in either or both costumes.

His MO is to go from world to world, trounce all of a given planet's heavy hitters, and then pass judgment upon said world. If you've ever seen Monkey versus Wrasslor on Dexter's Laboratory, that was based on the Champion's first appearance fighting the Thing.

Appreciate you sharing the leaks Dave! I gotta say, not every much stuff for me to get excited about with these reveals. I'm not someone who feels the need to 'upgrade' my collection, once I get a definitive version of a character I don't look back. We already have definitive versions for SO MANY of these characters and it's really feeling like the team over at Hasbro is more focused on new collectors than folks who've been there since day 1. Feels like for every 10 figures they announce 9 are always redos/ redecos of something already available and I'm really getting sick of it. Excited for Werewolf By Night, Adam Warlock & Rom but very little else.

Yeah, he's one of my most wanted as well, so I hope they do him well. I vastly prefer his original, cape-less costume. But I'm really hoping they get the skin color a proper orange-yellow and the yellow on his suit comic-accurate yellow - not that hideous dull mustard semi-metallic "gold" they ruined Sunfire and Nova with. That's a lot of re-painting to do.

The recent Marvel Legends Quicksilver & the upcoming Fabian Cortez look awesome. I wish whoever was doing the more recent Marvel Legends head sculpts could lend those talents to the GI Joe Classified team. Those seem to be getting worse/more cartoony over time.
