Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

Great review as always ! To be honest, I am surprised that Stan Lee stated that Doctor Doom was originally created as the nemesis of Iron Man. I always knew that his first appearance was in the Fantastic Four. He appeared in FF # 5 with a cover date of July 1962. In the meantime, Iron Man, first appeared in 1963 in Tales of Suspense no. 39, which had a cover date of March 1963. We are talking 8-9 months difference. The FF were created in November 1961, so Stan Lee and Jack Kirby had to create Doctor Doom before July 1962, because they had to plan storylines ahead of time, so that Jack "The King " Kirby could draw the comic books. Then, it was edited, inked, colored and printed. Iron Man did not appear until 8-9 months later, so it doesn't make any sense that Doctor Doom was originally created to be an Iron Man villain when Iron Man was not even created. One thing is for sure, Jack Kirby and Stan Lee created the Marvel Universe. They were involved creating most of the Marvel universe characters. To me, I would have loved seeing those 2 giants together when the Marvel Cinematic universe was created.

I love this Dr. Doom for sure but, I oddly enough had the same problem with the ankles..sooo stuck! Thankfully after some hot water they came loose some and functioned properly. Great review! Overall a beautiful representation of this character:)

Finally got my hands on this. Great looking figure - I thought I'd be going with the classic mask, but I the "contemporary" one just looks way more dynamic. One warning thought - the holster on mine popped right off when I was posing the figure. Really bad glue job, so be careful.

Imagine if they finally gave us an accessory that looks like one of those two handed blast he does, either the one where he crises his arms and has a round energy field around each hand and then a bunch of laser lines coming off each hands energy round energy field(you know which one) or the one where he puts both hands together like a hadouken but send out a super hadouken type blast(but thinner) one of those two accessories would be big time!!

I'll go out on a limb and say you liked Fight Club Shartimus, fortunately you don't use the same images Tyler Durden used as a projectionist. I like this Dr. Doom a lot, some a+more accessories and a removable mask would have been great but even without those I still like it a lot. Thanks for the review Shartimus.

My only complaint is that the straps and chain mail and stuff makes the armor look a little too archaic. Doom's armor is self contained set of high tech wizardry futuristic enough to challenge Iron man. This is more... D&D/Renaisance fair stuff. Still looks awesome and on my 'buy' list.... but i think that one on the Right of the screen was a little more comic accurate. As for removable mask... Good. Doom never ever takes off his helmet. I won't miss that in the least. It's like complaining that Ultron doesn't have a removable face plate.. I've had a couple figures iwth the removable masks and they always get loose and fall off Series 1 iron Man was a pain in the butt about that. If the 'default' for the character is to have the mask on... i'm fine iwth it being part of the sculpt.
