I never thought of Johnny as being particularly buff, so I am actually using a second Reed body with the modern FF Johnny's head at the moment for a "flame off" version. I am getting this figure as well, but don't think I will be using the base body much (especially if the blues are not matching up between figures). I appreciate Hasbro for giving us options, though!

I agree, Johnny was never really buff, doing the same with the Reed body for my Torch figure.

You still get on and keep it in the box right, I don't open the Retros because they remind me of the 90s. Love my retro Scarlet Spider. Love the X-Men ones and Deadpool as well. Bums me out that these ones are basically the same and I can repaint my old ones minus the cool retro box though. Had Sue Storm in my hand but couldn't justify buying it. Already have the Super Skull set..

i should be getting mine soon. they tell me its shipped. i am not happy the blues dont match, i am hoping when i have him in hand it wont be as noticeable, my house is pretty dark so fingers crossed. i like they way he looks i cant wait to finish the team. the blue an white are def my fav colors for them

So what were your thoughts? my display room is pretty dark too and I was definitely able to notice the difference in the blues. Actually it bothered me so much I ended up getting a second reed to make into my Johnny storm and I think it looks much better.

@@djmaddjazz well he is obviously a lighter shade and it frustrates me way more than it should, they have this retro wave on clearance at walmart so i may do what you did and just buy another reed. i mean i can live with it but it definitely annoying... i mean how does that happen lol

I'm not a fan of the facial crack in the mold near the nose, but it's not a bad looking figure on the whole. Nice review, man.

Not only am I seeing the difference in blues but I don't have the nostalgia eyes you have and because of that i actually laughed when you said it's hard to match all the figures when HASBRO did it 2X before with ease! I have and love the Walgreens set and the super skulls set which made this whole wave a pass except for invisiSue and lab coat Reed. I own all the versions of the SDCC Hulk (except the SDCC version because of that head, yuck) and have never once went oh this is the perfect nostalgia Hulk. I initially ordered thos whole wave from Target, took one look when it arrived and returned the whole thing. Unfortunately, Doom, Psycho-Man, and H.E. we're casualties of either owning, super skull Doom or lack of connection /nostalgia where I literally could not think of one story I enjoyed with PM or HE. Good review but it did feel you were looking past A LOT of flaws here for the sake of nostalgia.

😕 The blues don't match up. The blue on Johnny Storm's costume/uniform is too light. But at least it's not as bad as Sue's botched face. 😱
