I'm all for getting the best version of a character possible - but when they can do that AND it looks just like the work of a specific artist - that is the sweet spot for me!

You said it pretty well at the end, Hasbro really do need to add more shading and paint to these figures and not be so fixated on adapting them from a 2D format. The figure is pretty nice looking though, my most anticipated from the wave.

I LOVE getting Spider people from alternate, non 616 universes! I cant wait to put this and Last Stand Spidey next to my Spider UK, Spider Punk, Ashley Barton, Mayday Parker, Sp/Dr, etc etc. I'm exactly the audience they want to reach with this figure, and I'm very ok with that. 😁

I think with more classic designs, like proper Spider-Man, they should stick to prioritizing accuracy, but with smaller obscure characters like this I wouldn't be opposed to them stretching their creative muscles.

I don't know if you started using Final Cut yet but definitely looks better in this video, Dave! Also makes your forearms look big! Though there's a slight reverb. I really dig this costume. It reminds me of when the Superior Spidey suit was simplified from the initial Stegman look, but better. Might grab this guy for the Spider-Verse shelf.

He looks great any Spidey that has the retro Spidey body is a must have no matter what people think. Not as good as the Ben Reilly of this wave but a really nice design costume on the figure . Worth collecting . In my opinion . The only gripe I have is that Hasbro hasn't mastered giving the retro Spidey body mold the van dam split kicks . But not a bad figure . I would have to give a three out five because no matter these Spidey figures are fun to play with . When it comes to the retro Spidey body mold .

This would look so good if hasbro gave it the same treatment as the new daredevil 2 pack with the shading, instead of red and black , have it red and grey with the shading on the grey being black 💯💯💯🔥as with on the red part some shading too

Me, watching the video, hearing all the praise and excitement, just waiting to hear Dave give him a 5 (thinking it was still on a scale of 1 to 10). Then, at the end, sure enough… *SIGH*. Never change, Dave! 😜

I don't need this Figure, I didn't order him, but I strangely want it. I have an idea about Nick Fury recruiting Spider-Man from the very start when he tries to be a Wrestler. As a result, it solves Peter's money problems, because of SHIELD Agents guarding Uncle Ben and Aunt May the burglar is taken out before he can rob and kill Uncle Ben. This Peter slowly is trained to kill under extreme circumstances!

It's not Vulcan because he has the waist swivel, no diaphragm joint. I'm pretty sure the body is reuse from retro card spiderman.

While this isn't a figure that I have any nostalgia for, I fall in the camp of accuracy above all. While not for me, you have to think that each character is someone's favorite, and I'd hate to get my favorite character (no matter how obscure), as an "interpretation" rather than the most comic accurate version I could have.

Not Dave, but Tamashii Humanoid stands are affordable, come in 2-packs and are easily adjustable. Obitsu is good too if you don't mind putting more work in for more flexibility.

I absolutely 100% disagree about wanting them to add details to the figures. I want them to look exactly how they look on the page. The extra unnecessary details are one of the main reasons why I hate companies like mezcrap and mcfarlane. Also he's on the retro spidey body not Vulcan.

The wide hips are a deal breaker for me, this could've easily been the ryv body with better proportions and articulation. Typical mediocre hasbro botch job imo.
