if the joint springs back then i think the joint that connects to the ball has been stressed, so when you try to move the ball the connection part bends

I mean considering Tobey and Andrew figs these days are close to non-existent. If you aren't getting the SHF then this is your best bet. I'd pick it up cause I doubt they would ever make the figures again. I have the SHF Tobey, but it's too precious so it sits on my shelf. This one will be primarily for messing around with

The only problem with SH.F is the back of the figures they always look like they got thongs on because of the weird ways of sculpting same for some of there DBZ figures yet back in the day when they did the WWE line those figures had a much better look and feel also they where $30.00

@@johns3153 It’s definitely the least appealing part, but once I messed with mine it’s not as annoying. You gotta pull the flap all the way back so that it’s hidden.

@@johns3153 Idk why but the thong has never bothered me. It doesn't really stand out that much as people think. I see a lot of people bring it up as to why they don't want SHF Tobey, but while valid, there's a lot more going for it than against it. It's like the thong is the single dealbreaker for people lol. But despite ML's Tobey looking a lot worse, because there's no thong, it's fine? Price should be people's main issue, but if you really want the definitive Tobey (especially since this has 2 great head sculpts), then SHF is the no brainer. The thong may be weird, but ML Tobey has way more glaring faults. Mask is wrong, proportions are off, web lines look cheap (Andrew's looks great though), and little to no accessories on top of a much less articulate Spider Man. SHF literally has everything you need.

@@imadubsfan1 idk why but it's always bothered me with spiderman that's why I don't buy ZD-Toys spiderman figures either also the price is why too it's 90 on Amazon so I would rather pay 80 for a mezco where it's more accessories and way better figures plus never gotten a bad mezco i have 27 of them and 19 SH.F that over time have gotten loose and floppy but most i collect from them was star wars which you Don't see the thong thing or weird thigh cuts

Nice review! What I noticed is that Tobey's webline on the Toybiz narrows down to the waist, meanwhile the Marvel Legends is just straight vertical. This makes his stomach looks kinda bulged. But I'm still picking up this 3-pack, and repaint Tobey's webline. It's the thin silver paint on his webs that makes the figure looks cheap.

@@hamezlector8130 Thanks! I'm planning to use just basic acrylic paints. Because it's the easiest one to use, and easier to mix haha. I want a more darker gunmetal silver to contrast that bright red color. And I think a whole wash on that figure could bring out the details as well!

What do you use for the wash? I'm very noob when it comes to repaint and Al that haha

@@hamezlector8130 I actually haven't tried washing, but I'm planning to! Basically the technique is just adding more water/thinner to your paint so it's more watery (hence the name wash). You can use black, or a darker shade of your action figure's color. For starters, you can use acrylic paint. Since it's water-soluble and easier to clean it in case you messed up the paint.

@@hamezlector8130 Price is steep but it's so worth it. People may not like the thong look, but it's never really bothered me much. It looks like ML's Tobey has more faults to it than SHF's. Despite being based on No Way Home, SHF made Tobey's mask like Spider Man 1-3. The webbed lines are all super sharp, you actually get unmasked heads, and all the hands and web accessories you could ever need. I think anyone who's a huge Tobey fan is doing themselves a disservice going with ML. Of course price is a concern, but anyone who can afford it or try to save for it definitely should.

@@hamezlector8130 If you think about it, who knows how many more times they’ll make a Tobey Spider Man? His figure is only as relevant as the movies he’s in. We’re honestly lucky for NWH and it may be one of the last times he dons the suit. You bet ima get the best figure version before he finally hangs it up! Of course it’s just my opinion, but seeing videos of other Spidey figures and then seeing the SHF version in my hands, I feel I have the best one (besides Hot Toys lol) I’m not one to throw around $90 either. And I don’t regret it one bit. Watch other reviews though there are plenty out there.
