I'm glad I waited for the official Hasbro Marvel Legends Stan Lee, after fighting the urge to customize one. So good.

I get them using a Cap shield. But I think a nice stand with his signature would have been nicer. Especially with his tendency to fall over.

Stan always said that spidey was his favorite creation (and spidey used to be the mickey mouse of marvel, before they sold the rights to sony)

It’s a shame what Stan had to endure before he passed away. He deserved so much better and damn Disney didn’t even contact his daughter. Plus, seeing that autographed shield reminded me of when he was constantly handed items to sign like it was an assembly line without a break.

They should do a directors box set with stan Lee. Stan with multiple parts and accessories for various looks, Jon favreau w happy Hogan heads and joe Russo head, james Gunn w Anthony Russo head, kevin feige, and atika waititi. Each figure will have extra heads for other directors and creators, such as steve ditko and jack kirby, making it an army builder set as well.

Stan's shield fit the 80th Anniversary Captain America perfectly. My 80th Anniversary Hulk and Thor are inbound from Middletown, PA. What a perfect time for me to fall down the Marvel Legends worm hole. I gotta have something to liberate while waiting for my Joes.

I agree, it would be nice to have other creators, but I don't see that happening either. Lee was so iconic, but it would be nice if they maybe came out with "heads" of famous creators that can fit on suited bodies, as an anniversary add on.

And another reason why they gave Stan Lee the Cap shield is because Stan Lee was the one who resurrected Captain America in the 60s and made Captain America the brilliant character we know today, before Stan Lee captain America was a bland and generic tough man fighting for America (I don’t mean any disrespect to late great Jack Kirby or Joe Simon, they’re phenomenal, and in WWII America needed a tough man.)

Stan actually worked on issue #3 of the cap comics, I’m not sure if this is right or not but I’m pretty sure that comic was the first time cap was using the rounded shield

It was issue #2 that the round shield was introduced. Issue #3 was the first time Cap threw his shield. In fact, Stan wrote the little written stories in those issues (not just issue #3) and his written story is the first time Cap is mentioned throwing his shield. The story right after that in that issue does actually show Cap throwing his shield. I'm currently reading the Golden Age Cap stuff so I'm freshly familiar with it.
