Cosmic characters I like the marble look, it seems "ethereal". But characters like Iron Man, or any MCU release is a big no on it IMO.

Got this figure recently, my only major issue is the flakey gold paint on the head and there should've been an alternate head with a more relaxed expression for THIS DESIGN of Thanos, the head they included is nice but doesn't fit this look at all.

I think the marbled plastic is a good look for any character that has some kind of cosmic or magical thing going. Thanos here, Silver Surfer, etc. But on an Iron Man or so, not so much.

I'd say the marble plastic is a hit or miss, but the thing that annoys me most about many of the comic book Marvel Legends is how the eyes are soo wide apart. Works for some characters like this Thanos or Hulk though.

Good review! Finally picked this guy up on a trip but man is he cool. Love the colors and how he looks. Glad to have the walmart exclusive but this one was nice enough to buy as well that I'm not bothered

It depends to be honest I'm mostly fine with it unless the 'marbliness' of the marbly plastic is aggresively visible, but paint would make it look so much better but it's aight

I just bought this. Being an avid Nendoroid collector, I chose this over the Thanos Nendoroid. It costs a lot more less and it looks better. I really think it was worth the purchase.

Found him at bestbuy while I was looking for new headphones lol wish he had a fist infinity gauntlet hand though. The walmart exclusive heads also work on it though the metallic blue is off I think its cooler than the default head.

I know this is a year old, but wanted to say thank you for the review. I've been unloading some of my stuff and being more selective on what I pick up. Your reviews and answering questions have been very helpful. I really do appreciate it. One question - have you ever looked at the Marvel Select Thanos that came with Lady Death? Just curious how you would compare that to this ML. Been hoping you would take a look at the Marvel Select Immortal Hulk as well. Thanks again!

I never got the MS Thanos but it is the best version of the classic look imo. I'll get the MS Hulk to review when it gets reissued probably. Thanks for watching.

The marble plastic can be very good, depending on the character. It can give some characters an ethereal look, but on others it can look cheap. I think the review has sold me on the figure as I’ve seen some others, but haven’t been sold before now. One reason I’m considering is that the articulation seems better than the baf version from a few years ago

I don't like marbled plastic if used for joints. I think it's more plaible than solid colored plastic. My Jim Lee Storm's left knee is bent inwards under the weight of her hair and I figure it's due to the marbled plastic.

I see alot of people complaining about the head sculpt and I fail to see what the problem is..the head sculpt is amazing. He has an evil grimace look and that's literally the go to expression when it comes to thanos. Someone please explain to me what the problem is?

I believe this is the definite classic comic book version of Thanos. Something tells me they’ll release a repaint version (original 70’s Jim Starlin version) in the near future...

If the lines in the plastic are in the corect spots where you dont notice it i dont mind them .but when the head for example has those lines then yeah its distracting

QotD: I fall between 'indifferent' and 'like' on the marbled plastic... I honestly can't think of an instance off the top of my head where it's bothered me too much, and sometimes I've actually thought that it looks pretty good.

I think your right, Because Hasbro should have made another Thanos head sculpt with an angry expression. Also, it should have boot rotation, But I think this figure will look good on my Fantastic Four/Cosmic being shelf with the Walgreen's exclusive the Fallen Silver Surfer figure.

Skipped getting very large and bulky figures from Marvel Legends line because of very limited range of movement and lack of alternate parts on figures like venom. On some figures, the plastic looks great as metal and atleast no paint rub.

Personally, I love the marbled plastic. There are some pretty abysmal releases that use it, but I think the good ones outweigh the bad releases.

Love my Richard Rider Nova for the marbling in the blue, but in the helmet it looks like crap, especially since they painted his shoulder armor. EDIT: ...How did Marvel end up with a major character named Dick Rider? Almost certainly intentional on the writer's part, but what an oversight from the editor. Think that guy got fired?
