I love that you mentioned that he is a bigger guy and that it should be reflected in figure form. Bigger ppl aren't just big at the hips or belly its an overall thing. Most toys tend to make the head, neck, shoulders and torso too little to match the bigger look.

It's great that we finally got Wong, but it would've been really great if we had got him a lot sooner. Then that way Hasbro could've already have fixed the issues with his body sculpt and maybe his articulation too?

I have a feeling theyll make a second wave for this with Sinister Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch and a few of the spoiler characters. Im glad i bought the WandaVision Scarlet Witch off ebay a few months ago for £45, it was a bit steep but its a rare figure now and the costume is way better than the Multiverse of Madness costume.

After a while of playing with the skirt, you can get him into some decent poses.

Nice review! He looks nice and I’m happy they made him but I can’t see paying retail for him. I don’t mind the head size as much as I find these skirt pieces annoying. Because of that skirt overlay it doesn’t matter if the knees are double jointed or not because you basically can’t move the legs. I don’t know if there’s a softer plastics they can use or maybe make these skirt pieces part of the leg, which would add bulk but…it just makes it disappointing for these characters.

The neck articulation is great, I hope in the future that kind of articulation is standard for legends.

I wish they'd take artistic license and split these skirts so you can use the legs. Take it a step further, split the skirt and put it on a hinge on the waist. Combo that with a softer plastic.

Once I popped his torso off and removed the underskirt this figure became so much better even with the single knee joint

The Retro Symbiote Spidey figurine is so hard to find? I bought and received mine at the end of December by ordering it on Amazon with the Retro Venom. That said, I'm in a European country, maybe your region is experiencing delivery delays?

So yeah, it looks like a delay in delivery or too much demand for available stocks which wouldn't be surprising with the release of No Way Home putting Spidey back in the spotlight and the fact that the symbiote/black suit version has always been popular. I hope you will at least see your pre-order honored if you don't manage to get a copy before April. For my part I'm waiting for a delivery date for the restocking of Spidey 2099... These retro figurines are sometimes really difficult to get and the speculators don't help.

Wong looks great. I'm amazed they sculpted the pock marks on his cheeks. Not sure about his head size but I agree that his torso looks a little flat. Only thing they could do about the rubber skirt piece is to put slits up the sides, which mars the looks but he'd be able to get a wider stance. The golden armour on his left forearm looks Egyptian to me
