Mostly the Astonishing X-Men. The Amazing X-Men, Pietro's team, had individual designs. The reason is because both Madureira and Kubert designed the characters from their own books. Joe Mad went with that design choice shared by his team.

i have the books... they're actually trying to be as near to how they look with the source. I actually love how almost all of them looked different in the series with some surprising changes from their main universe roles. Aoa rocks.

Hmmmm...I think I like all the things you don't like about the design. I really dig the headsculpt and I like the chunky boots as well. Good run-down as usual (even if your camera's autofocus seemed more interested in your arms at times hehe).

Age of Apocalypse was a really good self-contained story, one of the best 90s X-Men stories. Rogue had a Joe Madureira design which looks great on the page but yeah it can come off as cartoony or toy-ish. As you say, it's very convenient to have all these characters packaged together. I got the last AoA wave and I'm planning to get the whole of this wave to have a self-contained micro-collection that lives in its own shelf.

Looking at my figure, and watching this review, I've realized that there seems to seem some variation between figures with AOA Rogue. Where yours appears glossy, the suit on mine is more of a matte plastic. I'm also seeing both versions while browsing on ebay, so might be a preference for collectors to take notice on when picking her out.

I’ve gotten two of this figure so far and both have had major issues with the ankles The first they felt like they were on the verge of twisting off, the second the feet straight up snapped off after I tried to tilt the ankles

They used a different body on her. The retro one uses that MOONSTONE buck. But I understand why she has the certain look as they all do, it resembles what the artist drew on paper.

I just got Rogue, Magneto and Cyclops on clearance at Target for 5.99$ each hopefully will be able to get the rest of the wave for the clearance price asap but only found those 3 so far. I almost grabbed the set of six of the Eternals for the same price but I saw these AoA X-men and had to have them in my collection to start my marvel legends. I grabbed a couple of the Halo series Gungoose vehicles for 5.99$ each to so I can use them for my Gijoe classified series figures as armored attack vehicles for the Joes to drive into battle against Cobra. I also got 2 of the Halo series Covenant Gun Turrets 5.99$ each as well to use for my Cobra Troopers and Infantry 🤩 and the DC multiverse McFarlane Three Jokers The Clown version of the Joker 5.99$ good day of cheap good figures I’d say huh

You're not really sure why the collars on the AoA X-men have metal rivets (or "bulbs," as you call them) on them? It's to represent their founder Magneto, just as the 616 X-Men have Xs on their uniforms to represent Xavier.

I still haven't read any of the Age of Apocalypse comics, so I don't think that I'm going to be getting any of the figures from this wave like the figures from the Sugar Man baf wave.

She needed a cape. Maybe they ditched it last minute? Also I like the design from the comic ,but the white part of the hair looks tacked on. I'll have to fix that with some sculpt work to connect the pieces better.

Hasbro needs to step up their game on the female figures. I'm not talking about double jointed elbows, those are a necessity for movement. There isn't a single female figure that has the same articulation as the most posable male figures (taskmaster doesn't count!)
